سجلت الفنانة السورية سلاف فواخرجي حضوراً جديداً في المحافل السينمائية العالمية، بعدما أصبح فيلمها الإيراني «أرض الملائكة» (The Land of Angels) ممثلاً لإيران في الدورة الـ99 من جوائز الأوسكار المقرر إقامتها عام 2027، في خطوة جديدة ضمن مسيرة العمل الذي حصد عدداً من الجوائز في مهرجانات سينمائية دولية.

واحتفلت فواخرجي بالإنجاز عبر حسابها على منصة «إكس»، حيث نشرت الملصق الدعائي للفيلم، معربة عن فخرها وامتنانها لهذه المشاركة، ومشيرة إلى أنها أول ممثلة سورية يشارك فيلم من بطولتها في سباق الأوسكار.
قصة وتفاصيل الفيلم
يتناول الفيلم حكاية إنسانية تدور أحداثها داخل قرية حدودية معزولة، ويركز على معاناة الإنسان وبراءة الأطفال، إلى جانب تناوله القضية الفلسطينية والظروف الإنسانية التي يعيشها سكان قطاع غزة.
وتجسد سلاف فواخرجي شخصية «ضحى»، وتشاركها البطولة مجموعة من المواهب العربية والإيرانية، بينهم علي ذيب، فاطمة المعصومة زريق، أهورا لطفي، محمد أسد، زهراء فاضل، فاطمة مريش وعلي رضا علاو، فيما تولى بابك خواجة باشا إخراج الفيلم.
جوائز سابقة
ويأتي وصول «أرض الملائكة» إلى سباق الأوسكار بعد نجاحات حققها في عدد من المهرجانات، من بينها مهرجان قازان السينمائي الدولي في روسيا، حيث حصد جائزة أفضل فيلم، بينما نالت سلاف فواخرجي جائزة أفضل ممثلة عن دورها.
كما حصلت فواخرجي على جائزة أفضل ممثلة في مهرجان فجر السينمائي الدولي بطهران، لتصبح، وفق ما أُعلن حينها، أول فنانة عربية وغير إيرانية تحصل على هذا التكريم في تاريخ المهرجان.
The Syrian artist Sulaf Fawakherji has made a new appearance in global cinema events, after her Iranian film "The Land of Angels" became Iran's representative in the 99th Academy Awards scheduled to take place in 2027, marking a new step in a career that has garnered several awards at international film festivals.

Fawakherji celebrated the achievement on her account on the "X" platform, where she posted the film's promotional poster, expressing her pride and gratitude for this participation, noting that she is the first Syrian actress to have a film starring her in the Oscar race.
Story and Details of the Film
The film tells a human story set in an isolated border village, focusing on human suffering and the innocence of children, while also addressing the Palestinian issue and the humanitarian conditions faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip.
Sulaf Fawakherji portrays the character "Dha," sharing the lead role with a group of Arab and Iranian talents, including Ali Dheeb, Fatima Al-Masouma Zareeq, Ahoura Lotfi, Mohammad Asad, Zahra Fadel, Fatima Mareesh, and Ali Reza Alavi, while Babak Khajeh Pasha directed the film.
Previous Awards
The arrival of "The Land of Angels" to the Oscar race follows its successes at several festivals, including the Kazan International Film Festival in Russia, where it won the Best Film award, while Sulaf Fawakherji received the Best Actress award for her role.
Fawakherji also won the Best Actress award at the Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran, becoming, as announced at the time, the first Arab and non-Iranian artist to receive this honor in the festival's history.
