أكد الفنان المصري محمد إمام أن فيلمه «صقر وكناريا» من أقرب الأعمال إلى قلبه، لأنه يجمع بين الأكشن والكوميديا ويناسب جميع أفراد الأسرة، مشيراً إلى أن كواليس التصوير كانت ممتعة، ولم يستعن بدوبلير في تنفيذ مشاهد الأكشن، معرباً عن سعادته بردود فعل الجمهور.

وأضاف إمام في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ» أنه لم يقلق من طرح الفيلم خلال فترة الامتحانات أو المونديال، مؤكداً أن العمل الجيد ينجح في الوصول إلى الجمهور مهما كان توقيت عرضه أو حجم المنافسة.
وأشار إمام إلى أن الفيلم يناقش قضية مهمة تتعلق بأهمية وجود الأسرة في حياة الإنسان، لافتاً إلى أن تقديم هذا النوع من الموضوعات كان من أحلامه منذ فترة طويلة.
