أدى الفنان المصري ياسر جلال اليمين الدستورية لمجلس الشيوخ المصري، وذلك خلال الجلسة الافتتاحية لدور الانعقاد الأول من الفصل التشريعي الثاني، بعد تعيينه من قبل رئيس الجمهورية عبدالفتاح السيسي ضمن 100 شخص.
وقال ياسر جلال في تصريح قبل بدء الجلسة الافتتاحية: «أشكر الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي على المجهودات الكبيرة التي بذلها الفترة الماضية من أجل مصر والمنطقة بأكملها».
ويضم المجلس في دورته الحالية كلاً من المخرج خالد جلال والكاتب أحمد مراد، والإعلاميين سيف زاهر ومحمد شبانة.
وهذه ليست المرة الأولى لأهل الفن تحت قبة البرلمان، ففي المجلس السابق تم تعيين يحيى الفخراني وسميرة سعيد، كما سبق وشارك في الحياة السياسية ممثلاً عن الفن عدد كبيرمن الفنانين ومن بينهم محمد عبدالوهاب، محمود المليجي، أمينة رزق، مديحة يسري، وغيرهم.
The Egyptian artist Yasser Jalal took the constitutional oath for the Egyptian Senate during the inaugural session of the first term of the second legislative chapter, after being appointed by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi among 100 individuals.
Yasser Jalal stated in a comment before the start of the inaugural session: "I thank President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for the great efforts he has made in the past period for Egypt and the entire region."
The council in its current session includes director Khaled Jalal, writer Ahmed Mourad, and media figures Saif Zaher and Mohamed Shabana.
This is not the first time for artists under the dome of Parliament; in the previous council, Yahya El-Fakharany and Samira Said were appointed, and many artists have previously participated in political life representing the arts, including Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Mahmoud El-Meligy, Amina Rizq, Madiha Yousri, and others.
