أثار قرار أسرة الفنان الراحل عبدالحليم حافظ إغلاق منزله في منطقة الزمالك نهائياً حالة واسعة من الجدل على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وذلك بعد أيام فقط من إعلان نيتها فرض رسوم مالية على زيارة المنزل الذي كان يستقبل عشاق «العندليب» لسنوات طويلة دون مقابل.

وكانت أسرة الراحل قد أعلنت عبر الصفحة الرسمية لعبدالحليم حافظ على «فيسبوك» أن الهدف من فرض الرسوم هو تنظيم الزيارات والحفاظ على مقتنيات المنزل، مشيرة إلى أن الرسوم ستكون رمزية للمصريين، وأعلى للأجانب، مع تخصيص تطبيق إلكتروني للحجز المسبق. كما أوضح البيان أن أي تصوير داخل المنزل سيخضع لمقابل مادي، للمساعدة في تغطية تكاليف الصيانة وتعيين مرشدين متخصصين لشرح تاريخ الفنان الكبير.
قرار الإغلاق بعد الانتقادات
لكن سرعان ما واجه القرار موجة انتقادات من الجمهور الذي اعتبر فرض رسوم على زيارة منزل «العندليب» مخالفًا لقيمه البسيطة القريبة من الناس. وردًا على ذلك، أصدرت الأسرة بيانًا جديدًا أعلنت فيه إغلاق المنزل نهائيًا، مؤكدة أنه لن يُفتح إلا مرة واحدة في العام بمناسبة ذكرى وفاته، مجانًا ولعدد محدود من الزوار.
وقالت الأسرة في بيانها: «فتح البيت أو غلقه لن يؤثر على حب الناس لحليم»، في إشارة إلى استمرار مكانة عبدالحليم حافظ في قلوب جمهوره رغم إغلاق أحد أبرز معالم تاريخه الفني والشخصي.

The late artist's family announced via Abdel Halim Hafez's official Facebook page that the purpose of imposing the fees is to organize visits and preserve the house's contents, noting that the fees would be symbolic for Egyptians and higher for foreigners, with a dedicated app for advance booking. The statement also clarified that any photography inside the house would incur a fee to help cover maintenance costs and hire specialized guides to explain the history of the great artist.
Closure Decision After Criticism
However, the decision quickly faced a wave of criticism from the public, who considered the imposition of fees for visiting the "nightingale's" home to be contrary to its simple values that are close to the people. In response, the family issued a new statement announcing the permanent closure of the house, confirming that it would only be opened once a year on the anniversary of his death, free of charge and for a limited number of visitors.
The family stated in their announcement: "Opening or closing the house will not affect people's love for Halim," referring to Abdel Halim Hafez's continued status in the hearts of his audience despite the closure of one of the most prominent landmarks of his artistic and personal history.
