أثارت فيديوهات متداولة توثّق الاعتداء على الفنان السوري عمر خيري في ريف حلب، جدلاً واسعاً، خلال الساعات الماضية، وفيما تداول ناشطون على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي فيديوهات مهينة لتوقيف المغني الشعبي عمر خيري، من قبل بعض العناصر المسلحة بعد إحيائه حفل زفاف في مدينة الباب بحلب؛ نفت الداخلية السورية علاقة أي جهة أمنية بالحادثة.
وقال المتحدث باسم الوزارة نور الدين البابا، في بيان مساء الجمعة: «ننفي بشكل قاطع ما يُتداول على مواقع التواصل حول تعرّض مطرب شعبي للاعتداء من قِبل عناصر الأمن الداخلي في مدينة الباب بريف حلب»، مؤكداً ألا علاقة لأية جهة أمنية بالحادثة المذكورة.
وأوضح البابا أن وزارة الداخلية تواجه الكثير من حملات التضليل الممنهجة التي تهدف إلى تشويه صورة الأمن الداخلي، وحث وسائل الإعلام ومواقع التواصل على توخي الدقة والتحرّي من صحة الأخبار والصور حرصاً على المصداقية، وتجنّب الوقوع في فخ التضليل أو نشر معلومات مغلوطة.
وشدد على أن الوزارة «لن تسكت عن الأكاذيب الممنهجة».
من جهتهم، دعا العديد من الفنانين والناشطين عبر منصات التواصل إلى محاسبة المعتدين، مؤكدين أن ما جرى لعمر خيري لا يمتّ للحرية ولا للعدالة بصلة، وأنه يعكس حالة خطيرة من التطرف والتعدي على الحريات الشخصية والفنية.
وكان ناشطون سوريون تداولوا مقاطع فيديو تُظهر تعرّض الفنان الشعبي عمر خيري لاعتداء جسدي ومعنوي أثناء إحيائه حفل زفاف في مدينة الباب بريف حلب.
ويظهر الفيديو عدداً من الشبان يجبرون الفنان على التوقف عن الغناء، قبل أن يعتدوا عليه بالضرب ويحلقوا شعره، ويكتبوا على وجهه عبارات مهينة، وسط اتهامات متضاربة بشأن الدوافع.
Videos circulating that document the assault on Syrian artist Omar Khairi in the countryside of Aleppo have sparked widespread controversy in recent hours. While activists on social media shared humiliating videos of the popular singer Omar Khairi being detained by armed individuals after he performed at a wedding in the city of Al-Bab in Aleppo, the Syrian Ministry of Interior denied any security agency's involvement in the incident.
The ministry's spokesperson, Nour El-Din Al-Baba, stated in a statement on Friday evening: "We categorically deny what is being circulated on social media about a popular singer being assaulted by internal security forces in the city of Al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo," emphasizing that no security agency is related to the mentioned incident.
Al-Baba explained that the Ministry of Interior is facing many systematic disinformation campaigns aimed at tarnishing the image of internal security. He urged media outlets and social media platforms to exercise accuracy and verify the authenticity of news and images to ensure credibility and avoid falling into the trap of misinformation or spreading false information.
He stressed that the ministry "will not remain silent about systematic lies."
For their part, many artists and activists called on social media platforms to hold the assailants accountable, asserting that what happened to Omar Khairi has nothing to do with freedom or justice and reflects a dangerous state of extremism and violation of personal and artistic freedoms.
Syrian activists had circulated video clips showing the popular artist Omar Khairi being subjected to physical and moral assault while performing at a wedding in the city of Al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo.
The video shows a number of young men forcing the artist to stop singing before they assault him physically, shave his hair, and write humiliating phrases on his face, amid conflicting accusations regarding the motives.
