أعلنت أسرة الموسيقار والفنان اللبناني الراحل زياد الرحباني، نجل الفنانة فيروز، عن موعد جنازته المقررة الإثنين القادم 28 يوليو، في كنيسة رقاد السيدة، وسط حزن واسع يخيّم على محبيه في لبنان والعالم العربي.
وأوضح بيان صادر عن العائلة أن العزاء سيُستقبل في صالون الكنيسة نفسه، بدءاً من الساعة الحادية عشرة صباحاً وحتى السادسة مساءً، أي قبل مراسم الدفن.
ويُعد زياد الرحباني أحد أبرز رموز الموسيقى والمسرح في العالم العربي، وترك بصمة لا تُنسى بأعماله الجريئة والمختلفة، وموسيقاه التي مزجت بين الأنماط الغربية والشرقية بأسلوب فريد. كما حقق تعاونات خالدة مع والدته فيروز، وارتبط اسمه بالإبداع والتجديد في الأغنية العربية.
وقد نعت نقابة المهن الموسيقية في مصر الراحل، مؤكدة أن الفن العربي فقد برحيله قامة استثنائية ومبدعاً متجدداً أسهم في إثراء الموسيقى والمسرح لعقود.
The family of the late Lebanese musician and artist Ziad Rahbani, son of the artist Fairuz, announced the date of his funeral scheduled for next Monday, July 28, at the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, amidst widespread sorrow that envelops his fans in Lebanon and the Arab world.
A statement issued by the family clarified that condolences will be received in the church hall itself, starting from 11 AM until 6 PM, just before the burial ceremonies.
Ziad Rahbani is considered one of the most prominent symbols of music and theater in the Arab world, leaving an unforgettable mark with his bold and diverse works, and his music that blended Western and Eastern styles in a unique way. He also achieved timeless collaborations with his mother Fairuz, and his name is associated with creativity and renewal in Arabic song.
The Egyptian Musicians' Syndicate mourned the deceased, affirming that Arab art has lost an exceptional figure and a renewed creator who contributed to enriching music and theater for decades.
