أعلن مهرجان فينيسيا السينمائي الدولي في دورته الـ82 المقرر انطلاقها في الفترة من 27 أغسطس حتى 6 سبتمبر، اختيار الفيلم السعودي «هجرة» للمشاركة في فعالياته ضمن قسم Venice Spotlight.
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الأفلام عبدالله بن ناصر القحطاني بأن مهرجان فينيسيا أحد المحطات العالمية التي تكشف للعالم جودة الإبداع السعودي، وشغف صنّاعه، من خلال برامج مثل «ضوء» لدعم الأفلام، الذي يسعى لإيجاد الفرص للإنتاجات السعودية للظهور على الساحة الدولية، ويعمل على بناء حضور دائم يعكس هوية المملكة وطموحاتها في صناعة الأفلام.
وتعد مشاركة فيلم هجرة، المدعوم من هيئة الأفلام عبر برنامج «ضوء» لدعم الأفلام، محطة مهمة في مسيرة السينما السعودية، تعكس جودة المحتوى المحلي ومكانته المتنامية على الساحة الدولية، وتُبرز الطاقات الإبداعية الوطنية القادرة على المنافسة في أهم المحافل العالمية.
وينسجم ترشيح فيلم هجرة للمخرجة شهد أمين، مع جهود هيئة الأفلام في ترسيخ حضور سعودي فاعل على خريطة الإنتاج السينمائي العالمي، وضمن توجه إستراتيجي يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية 2030 في بناء قطاع ثقافي إبداعي وتنافسي، يعكس الهوية السعودية ويعزز التبادل الثقافي على المستوى الدولي.
يضم الفيلم مجموعة من الأسماء العربية والخليجية، من بينها خيرية نظمي في دور الجدة، ولامار فدان في أولى بطولاتها السينمائية، إضافة إلى نواف الظفيري وبراء عالم.
وجاء إنتاج الفيلم بدعم من هيئة الأفلام السعودية، صندوق البحر الأحمر، مبادرة «ضوء»، نيوم، فيلم العلا، والمركز العراقي للسينما المستقلة، إلى جانب شركاء من أوروبا.
The Venice International Film Festival, in its 82nd edition scheduled to take place from August 27 to September 6, has announced the selection of the Saudi film "Migration" to participate in its events as part of the Venice Spotlight section.
The CEO of the Film Commission, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the Venice Festival is one of the global platforms that showcases the quality of Saudi creativity and the passion of its creators, through programs like "Noor" to support films, which aims to create opportunities for Saudi productions to appear on the international stage, and works to build a lasting presence that reflects the identity of the Kingdom and its ambitions in the film industry.
The participation of the film Migration, supported by the Film Commission through the "Noor" program for film support, is an important milestone in the journey of Saudi cinema, reflecting the quality of local content and its growing status on the international scene, and highlighting the national creative talents capable of competing in the most important global forums.
The nomination of the film Migration, directed by Shahd Amin, aligns with the efforts of the Film Commission to establish a significant Saudi presence on the global film production map, within a strategic direction that aligns with the objectives of Vision 2030 in building a creative and competitive cultural sector that reflects Saudi identity and enhances cultural exchange at the international level.
The film features a cast of Arab and Gulf names, including Khairiya Nazmi as the grandmother, and Lamar Fadan in her first leading role, in addition to Nawaf Al-Dhafiri and Bara Alam.
The film's production was supported by the Saudi Film Commission, the Red Sea Fund, the "Noor" initiative, NEOM, AlUla Film, and the Iraqi Independent Cinema Center, along with partners from Europe.
