أعلنت الشرطة الباكستانية العثور على جثة الممثلة وعارضة الأزياء حميرا أصغر علي داخل شقتها في منطقة هيئة الإسكان الدفاعية بمدينة كراتشي، بعدما توجهت قوات الشرطة إلى المبنى لإخلائه بأمر قضائي.
وأفاد مدير شرطة الجنوب سيد أسد رضا، أن قوات الشرطة عثرت على جثة الفنانة البالغة من العمر 32 عاماً، داخل شقة في منطقة «الاتحاد التجارية» بالمرحلة السادسة من هيئة الإسكان الدفاعية، خلال عملية إخلاء للمبنى بناء على أمر صادر من المحكمة.
وبحسب البيان الأمني، فإن عناصر من شرطة «جيزري» حاولوا طرق باب الشقة دون جدوى، ما اضطُرهم إلى كسر القفل، ليكتشفوا وجود جثة حميرا في الداخل وقد دخلت مرحلة متقدمة من التحلل.
الجثة نُقلت إلى مركز جناح الطبي للدراسات العليا، حيث أكدت الطبيبة الشرعية سمية سيد أن الوفاة مضى عليها وقت طويل، مشيرة إلى أن سبب الوفاة لم يُحدد بعد، فيما أوضحت التحقيقات الأولية أن الوفاة قد تكون «طبيعية»، بانتظار تقرير الطب الشرعي النهائي الذي من شأنه أن يوضح ملابسات الوفاة بشكل أدق.
وذكرت الشرطة أن الممثلة الراحلة لم تسدد إيجار الشقة منذ أبريل 2024، ما دفع مالكي العقار إلى رفع دعوى قضائية ضدها، وهي القضية التي على إثرها صدر قرار الإخلاء.
حميرا أصغر علي كانت واحدة من أبرز الوجوه في صناعة الأزياء الباكستانية، وشاركت في حملات دعائية مع كبار المصممين والعلامات التجارية، ووصلت إلى التصفيات النهائية في مسابقة «سوبر موديل فييت» لعام 2014.
كما تألقت على الشاشة الصغيرة في أعمال درامية مثل مسلسل «لالي»، وحققت شهرة واسعة من خلال برنامج الواقع «طماشة غر»، الذي يُعرض على قناة ARY Digital.
وفي السينما، لعبت أدوار البطولة في أفلام منها «جليبي» (2015) و«لقاح الحب» (2021)، ونالت عام 2023 الجائزة الوطنية للمرأة القيادية تكريماً لمساهماتها البارزة في مجال الفنون.

The Pakistani police announced the discovery of the body of actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali inside her apartment in the Defense Housing Authority area of Karachi, after police forces went to the building to evacuate it under a court order.
Southern Police Director Syed Asad Raza reported that police forces found the body of the 32-year-old artist inside an apartment in the "Commercial Union" area in phase six of the Defense Housing Authority during an evacuation operation based on a court-issued order.
According to the security statement, officers from the "Gizri" police attempted to knock on the apartment door without success, which forced them to break the lock, discovering Humaira's body inside, which had entered an advanced stage of decomposition.
The body was transferred to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, where forensic doctor Sumaiya Syed confirmed that the death had occurred a long time ago, noting that the cause of death has not yet been determined. Initial investigations indicated that the death might be "natural," pending the final forensic report that will clarify the circumstances of the death more accurately.
The police mentioned that the late actress had not paid the rent for the apartment since April 2024, prompting the property owners to file a lawsuit against her, which led to the eviction order.
Humaira Asghar Ali was one of the prominent faces in the Pakistani fashion industry, participating in advertising campaigns with top designers and brands, and reaching the finals of the "Super Model Viet" competition in 2014.
She also shone on the small screen in dramatic works such as the series "Lali," and gained widespread fame through the reality show "Tamasha Ghar," which airs on ARY Digital.
In cinema, she played leading roles in films including "Jalebi" (2015) and "Love Vaccine" (2021), and in 2023, she received the National Award for Women Leadership in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the arts.
A state of sadness and shock prevails in the art and media circles in Pakistan following the announcement of Humaira's death, amid calls for the truth to be revealed and for investigations to be conducted with complete transparency.
