قررت نقابة الفنانيين السوريين تغيير شعارها الجديد، بعد تعرضه لانتقادات من فنانين وإعلاميين ومصممين فنيين منذ نشره للمرة الأولى.
وأوضحت النقابة على صفحتها الرسمية على «فيسبوك» أنه «بعد ورود الكثير من الآراء النقدية حول تصميم شعار النقابة الجديد، وحرصاً على احترام آراء الأعضاء وبهدف الوصول إلى أفضل تصميم ممكن، قرر مجلس إدارة نقابة الفنانين الإعلان عن مسابقة خاصة لتصميم الشعار».
وذكرت صحيفة الوطن السورية: «أن الشعار الجديد للنقابة أصبح مادة دسمة للسخرية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي»
وكان الفنان السوري فراس إبراهيم أول المنتقدين للشعار، مطالباً بإعادة النظر فيه، وكتب على «فيسبوك»: «كنت أعتقد أن أحداً يريد أن يسخر من نقابة الفنانين فقام برسم هذا التصميم البدائي لشعار النقابة، لكني فوجئت بأحد الزملاء في مجلس النقابة يضعه على صفحته، وبعدها بقليل يتم نشره على الصفحة الرسمية لنقابة الفنانين، يعني من غير المقبول في بلد مثل سوريا، التي أنجبت العشرات من عباقرة الفن التشكيلي، أن نرى مثل هذا التصميم الفقير البائس الخالي تماماً من الذوق والإبداع أن يكون شعاراً لنقابة الفنانين فيها، أعيدوا النظر».
The Syrian Artists' Syndicate has decided to change its new logo after it faced criticism from artists, media professionals, and graphic designers since its first publication.
The syndicate clarified on its official Facebook page that "after receiving a lot of critical opinions regarding the design of the new logo, and in order to respect the opinions of the members and to achieve the best possible design, the Board of Directors of the Artists' Syndicate has decided to announce a special competition for designing the logo."
The Syrian newspaper Al-Watan mentioned: "The new logo of the syndicate has become a rich subject for mockery on social media."
The Syrian artist Firas Ibrahim was among the first to criticize the logo, calling for a reconsideration of it. He wrote on Facebook: "I thought someone wanted to mock the Artists' Syndicate by creating this primitive design for the syndicate's logo, but I was surprised to see one of my colleagues in the syndicate's council posting it on his page, and shortly after, it was published on the official page of the Artists' Syndicate. It is unacceptable in a country like Syria, which has produced dozens of geniuses in visual arts, to see such a poor and miserable design completely devoid of taste and creativity being the logo of the artists' syndicate. Please reconsider."
