وبعد أيام من زيارتها، انتشرت تفاصيل ملفها الطبي على منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، مما أثار غضب جمهورها ودفع هيئة الرقابة على الخدمات الصحية في بيرو (سوسالود) لفتح تحقيق عاجل، واستمر التحقيق خمسة أشهر، شمل تفتيش العيادة واستجواب موظفيها، وانتهى بفرض الغرامة المالية الكبيرة.
وأكدت روبي كوباس، الناطقة باسم الهيئة، أن التسريب يمثل «انتهاكًا أخلاقيًا وقانونيًا خطيرًا»، مشيرة إلى أن العقوبة تهدف إلى حماية خصوصية جميع المرضى. ومن جانبها، أقرت إدارة عيادة ديلغادو أونا بالخطأ وبدأت إجراءات تأديبية ضد الموظفين المتورطين، مؤكدة التزامها بتعزيز حماية بيانات المرضى.
