وتزعم الدعوى، التي رُفعت في لوس أنجلوس الأسبوع الماضي، أن بيري استغل نفوذه لخلق ديناميكية استغلالية جنسياً، مستخدماً وعوداً بالتقدم المهني للضغط على ديكسون.
ووفقاً للدعوى، تعرض ديكسون للتحرش والاعتداء من بيري، الذي كان يتحكم بشكل مباشر في وظيفته وفرصه الإبداعية، وواجه انتقاماً عندما رفض الاستجابة لتودد بيري.

وتشير الدعوى إلى حوادث متعددة على مدى سنوات، من التحرش ورسائل نصية ذات طابع جنسي من بيري، حاول ديكسون ردها بلطف لتجنب التصعيد.
من جانبه، نفى بيري الاتهامات، ووصفها محاميه، ماثيو بويد، بأنها محاولة ابتزاز.
وقال بويد إن ديكسون اقترب من بيري بهدف نصب فخ له، مؤكداً أن بيري لن يخضع للابتزاز وسيثبت زيف الادعاءات.
من جانبه، يطالب ديكسون بتعويضات لا تقل عن 260 مليون دولار.

In a lawsuit that has sparked widespread controversy, the famous producer and actor Tyler Perry, one of Hollywood's most prominent names, has been accused of sexual harassment and assault by actor Derek Dixon, who worked on the series Ruthless and The Oval.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles last week, claims that Perry exploited his influence to create a sexually exploitative dynamic, using promises of professional advancement to pressure Dixon.
According to the lawsuit, Dixon was subjected to harassment and assault by Perry, who had direct control over his job and creative opportunities, and faced retaliation when he refused to respond to Perry's advances.
The lawsuit accuses Perry of a "disturbing pattern of exploiting vulnerable actors and employees," comparing him to names like Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and Sean "Diddy" Combs, suggesting that his success led him to believe that money and influence entitled him to everything.
The relationship between the two began in 2019 during the opening ceremony of Perry's studio in Atlanta, where Perry selected Dixon from the audience and asked him about his career aspirations.
This was followed by communication via text messages, where Perry offered Dixon a small role in one of his series with a promise of bigger opportunities.
Later, Perry invited Dixon to his home, where, according to the lawsuit, the latter was sexually assaulted after being led to believe he would be staying in a guest room. The lawsuit claims that Perry barged into the room and attempted to physically assault Dixon.
The lawsuit mentions multiple incidents over the years, including harassment and sexually explicit text messages from Perry, which Dixon tried to respond to politely in order to avoid escalation.
For his part, Perry denied the allegations, with his attorney, Matthew Boyd, describing them as an attempt at extortion.
Boyd stated that Dixon approached Perry with the intent to set a trap for him, asserting that Perry would not succumb to extortion and would prove the allegations to be false.
Dixon, for his part, is seeking damages of no less than $260 million.
Perry, the billionaire and star of the Madea film series, is a pivotal figure in Hollywood, owning massive studios in Atlanta and having a partnership with the Oprah Winfrey Network.
