تعذر رجوع الفنانة المصرية إلهام شاهين، رفقة الإعلامية هالة سرحان من العراق بسبب الحرب بين إسرائيل وإيران.
وكشفت شاهين لـ«عكاظ» حقيقة الأخبار المتداولة حول احتجازهما في العراق، وقالت إن تلك الأخبار ليست صحيحة، مؤكدة أنها تتمتع بصحة جيدة وتتواجد في أحد الفنادق بالعراق رفقة الإعلامية هالة سرحان ولا حقيقة لاحتجازهما، متسائلة: «مين هيحتجزنا محدش في إيده حاجة يعملها».
وتابعت إلهام شاهين لافتة إلى أنها كانت متواجدة في العراق للمشاركة في فاعلية كبرى تخص المرأة وبعد الانتهاء ذهبت للمطار للعودة لمصر، لكن سلطات المطار أخبرتها بإغلاق المجال الجوي بسبب الحرب بين إيران وإسرائيل، كما أن جميع المشاركين في الفاعلية من مختلف البلدان عادوا من المطار.
وأشارت إلهام إلى تواصل السفير المصري في العراق معها ومتابعة المستجدات لحظة بلحظة لمساعدتها هي والإعلامية هالة سرحان في العودة لمصر في أول فرصة لفتح المجال الجوي، وقالت: «فكرت بالعودة عبر الطريق البري، ثم استبعدت الفكرة بسبب صعوبة الطريق».
واختتمت شاهين حديثها بأنها تنتظر إعلان هدنة في الحرب بين إيران وإسرائيل وفتح المجال الجوي للعودة إلى مصر، معلقة: «أتمنى كل اللي بيحبوني يدعولي الأزمة تعدي ونرجع بلدنا».
ومن جانبه، حرص الدكتور جبار جودي نقيب الفنانين العراقيين، على زيارة الإعلامية هالة سرحان والفنانة إلهام شاهين بمقر إقامتهما في أحد الفنادق بالعراق والاطمئنان عليهما.

Shahin revealed to "Okaz" the truth behind the circulating news about their detention in Iraq, stating that such news is not accurate. She confirmed that she is in good health and is staying in a hotel in Iraq with media personality Hala Sarhan, and there is no truth to the claims of their detention, asking: "Who would detain us? No one has the power to do anything."
Elham Shahin continued, noting that she was in Iraq to participate in a major event concerning women, and after it concluded, she went to the airport to return to Egypt. However, airport authorities informed her that the airspace was closed due to the war between Iran and Israel, and all participants in the event from various countries returned from the airport.
Elham indicated that the Egyptian ambassador in Iraq has been in contact with her, following the developments moment by moment to assist her and media personality Hala Sarhan in returning to Egypt at the first opportunity to open the airspace. She said: "I thought about returning by land, but I dismissed the idea due to the difficulty of the road."
Shahin concluded her remarks by stating that she is waiting for a ceasefire announcement in the war between Iran and Israel and for the airspace to open to return to Egypt, commenting: "I hope everyone who loves me prays for the crisis to pass so we can return to our country."
For his part, Dr. Jabbar Jodi, the head of the Iraqi Artists' Syndicate, made sure to visit media personality Hala Sarhan and artist Elham Shahin at their residence in a hotel in Iraq to check on them.
The inability of Elham Shahin and media personality Hala Sarhan to return from Iraq is due to the war between Israel and Iran, where Elham Shahin participated in the International Festival for Media Women in its fourteenth edition.
