In response to what was published by "Okaz" regarding the suffering of the residents of the centers and villages located (east of Al-Hanakiyah Governorate), which include: Al-Hameej, Al-Hassu, Hadban, Balghah, Al-Mahamah, Talal, and Bathi, due to the contractor's interruption for several months in delivering water to them, creating a crisis and a black market for water tankers operated by foreign labor at exorbitant prices, exploiting the residents' need for water... This was in the issue published with the number 21267 under the title: "The villages of Al-Hanakiyah on the water contractor: 'A day comes, and a month goes'” in the issue dated 15 Safar 1447 AH, corresponding to September 7, 2025 AD. The National Water Company confirmed to "Okaz" that a new contractor has been hired to resolve the water crisis in those centers and villages, and all the mentioned centers and villages are now within the scope of the new water supply contract, which began providing service at the beginning of this week after completing the procedures for awarding the new contract.
