In the theater of human life, there is no character more confusing than one who corrupts in secrecy, then takes center stage calling for virtue in public. These individuals – though few – have a destructive impact; their behavior is not merely transient but a distorted psychological structure that combines social hypocrisy and "Machiavellianism."
Social occasions and family obligations provide a refuge for this corrupt individual, allowing them to gossip, sow discord, and dismantle bonds. This behavior is referred to in psychology as "extreme impression management." Their presence at these events is not a social obligation or a genuine desire to connect, but rather a mask to gain social immunity. The greatest description of such individuals is found in the Almighty's words: (And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they do not perceive it.)
The French poet, playwright, and actor "Jean-Baptiste Poquelin" (known as "Molière"), who is considered one of the most important masters of comedy in the history of European theatrical art and the founder of high comedy, crafted in the famous French play "Tartuffe" the character of a man who pretends to be pious and concerned for the family's welfare while, in reality, he exploits their kindness to destroy the family and seize their possessions. Thus, the name "Tartuffe" has become a symbol of hypocrisy in global culture, representing one who uses religion and kinship as a means to corrupt.
Confronting such a corrupt character should not be through confrontation that grants them the role of a victim, but rather through awareness and setting strict boundaries, dealing with their social presence with a cool, protocol-driven demeanor, without allowing them to penetrate deeply.
Awareness and constant closeness to our generations, completely distancing them from such toxic environments, and not indulging such a chameleon. A truly sound person is known by the fruits of their actions and the purity of their intentions, while one who mingles with bodies at events while harboring destruction in their heart will leave history with nothing but a footnote in the book of hypocrites.
