Since the first month of his entry into Mecca in Jumada al-Awwal 1343 (1924), the founder King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, began his interest in Hajj and caring for the pilgrims, as he dedicated all efforts to the success of that year's pilgrimage and the years that followed.
Among the founder's efforts to organize and ensure the success of Hajj:
First: His issuance of the "Hajj Management System."
Second: His global call to Muslims in the east and west of the earth, welcoming the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God.
Third: Assigning his personal physician to care for the health of the pilgrims and organize health matters related to Hajj.
Fourth: Taking all precautions for the safety and comfort of the pilgrims, so they could return to their countries safe and sound.
Fifth: Preparing the infrastructure and providing facilities for the pilgrims, such as: preparing ports, roads, means of transportation, and postal services, as well as appointing staff.
Sixth: Providing essential goods, food, and water for Mecca and the holy sites.
The founder personally followed up on the most intricate details related to Hajj affairs, and he settled in Mecca to supervise and perform the pilgrimage with the crowds of pilgrims. By God's grace and success, the first Hajj season (1343) was a success, leading to a blessed journey that continued along the path laid by the founder to this glorious era, in which the entire world sees the tremendous efforts that the Kingdom dedicates to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. All nations have witnessed our country's commitment to the guests of the Most Merciful and its provision of comfort and reassurance for them.
May God reward King Abdulaziz and his blessed descendants, the kings and princes who followed in his footsteps in serving Islam and Muslims, with all good, and may He continue to bestow honor, prosperity, and welfare upon the land of the Two Holy Mosques.
