And the national team returns to the drawers of oblivion.

From now until the next gathering,

Al-Omari will not be the worst defender,

and Al-Aqeedi will not be the weakest goalkeeper,

Renard will sleep peacefully,

and Yasser Al-Mashel can turn off his phone.

The story has ended.

The sports programs have closed their files,

the analyses have fallen silent,

and the debate has disappeared.. as if nothing had happened.

This is one of the biggest problems with our national team:

We treat it as a fleeting event,

appearing suddenly.. then disappearing faster.

No context is built for it,

nor is it given continuity,

but is consumed in days.. then forgotten.

And this light that suddenly appears on the players' faces,

and disappears faster..

does not create passion, nor does it build motivation.

For the player who lives in his club

with constant support and continuous light,

finds himself in the national team

under temporary light..

and a short memory.

How can we ask the national team to be a priority,

when we only treat it as an occasion?

And how do we expect it to have a consistent presence,

when we only give it sporadic attention?

The solution does not start from the camp..

but from awareness.

To show up for the national team as we do for our clubs,

and to keep it present in discussions,

in analyses,

and in memory..

not just in its days.

A whisper:
