This year's Falcon and Hunting Exhibition seemed to some visitors to be of lower quality and appeal than in previous seasons, as repetition has become a characteristic of the exhibition in its events and sections, suggesting a depletion of ideas for development and attraction. Meanwhile, the section dedicated to camping companies and desert equipment has become the main attraction due to discount offers. This is acceptable if the exhibition were purely commercial, but since its inception, it has taken on an identity that combines the enhancement of cultural identity with providing exhibitors and those interested in camping and outdoor equipment a space to meet!
For me, the year before last was the most distinguished, with cultural activities highlighting falcons and their ongoing significance in Saudi cultural heritage, while last year's edition was dull, which, along with observations of this year's weak edition, confirms a continuous decline that makes me fear the exhibition will lose its appeal in the coming years!
I hope the exhibition returns next year more brilliant and with attractive ideas, making it a strong desire for citizens, residents, and tourists to visit, rather than just a showcase for discounts. It is important for it to be a cultural event, in addition to its commercial goals, to enhance the culture surrounding the desert heritage for today's generations!
In short... The Falcon and Hunting Exhibition has always represented an important event, eagerly awaited by desert enthusiasts in the Kingdom and Gulf countries, as well as interested individuals from around the world. Let it be as we have known it before, soaring like the falcons!
