عندما بادرت المملكة العربية السعودية للتدخل في اليمن كان هدفها حفظ استقرار ووحدة اليمن، وقدمت في سبيل ذلك الأرواح والأموال، مما ساهم في انكسار الحوثي ومنع استيلائه على عدن، ولم تقدم كل هذه التضحيات وتبذل كل هذه الجهود من أجل تحقيق مصالح فئوية لفئات انتهازية أرادت تحقيق مصالحها على حساب التضحيات السعودية !
العطاء السعودي لا يمكن أن يقابل بالجحود والنكران، كما أن الجرأة على مكونات أخرى من الشعب اليمني ومحاولة الهيمنة على مناطقها يجعل هذه الفئات الانتهازية لا تختلف كثيراً عن المليشيا الحوثية، التي سعت لتوسيع مناطق نفوذها بقوة السلاح !
ولا أبالغ عندما أقول، إن شبكة الأمان الوحيدة التي تملكها اليمن اليوم هي السعودية، التي ما زالت تبذل جهودها في سبيل مصالح الشعب اليمني دون أي مصلحة مقابلة، ولا تنتظر من المكونات السياسية اليمنية سوى أن يقابلوا جهودها الصادقة بإخلاص النوايا والتخلص من المصالح الشخصية، التي يسعى بعض السياسيين لتحقيقها على حساب الشعب اليمني الذي عانى ما يكفي من الحروب والصراعات !
يستحق اليمن ومواطنوه حاضراً أكثر استقراراً ومستقبلاً أكثر ازدهاراً، بمساعدة أشقائه في المملكة ودول الخليج والعالم، ولا بد أن يعتبر السياسيون اليمنيون من تاريخ اليمن، الذي لم تحقق فيه الصراعات والحروب سوى التمزق والتشرذم بدلاً من التقدم والنماء !
When the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took the initiative to intervene in Yemen, its goal was to preserve the stability and unity of Yemen. It sacrificed lives and resources in this endeavor, which contributed to the defeat of the Houthis and prevented them from seizing Aden. All these sacrifices and efforts were not made to achieve the interests of opportunistic groups that sought to realize their gains at the expense of Saudi sacrifices!
The Saudi contribution cannot be met with ingratitude and denial. Moreover, the audacity towards other components of the Yemeni people and the attempt to dominate their regions makes these opportunistic groups not much different from the Houthi militia, which sought to expand its areas of influence by force of arms!
I do not exaggerate when I say that the only safety net Yemen has today is Saudi Arabia, which continues to exert efforts for the interests of the Yemeni people without any reciprocal interest. It does not expect anything from the Yemeni political components except that they respond to its sincere efforts with genuine intentions and rid themselves of personal interests that some politicians seek to achieve at the expense of the Yemeni people, who have suffered enough from wars and conflicts!
Yemen and its citizens deserve a more stable present and a more prosperous future, with the help of their brothers in the Kingdom, Gulf countries, and the world. Yemeni politicians must learn from Yemen's history, which has shown that conflicts and wars have only led to fragmentation and division instead of progress and growth!
