أكثر ما يستفزني عندما يطلب منك أحدهم عملاً بالمجان، بحجة أن العمل يخص مشروعاً رسمياً أو جهة حكومية باسم الوطنية، وكأنه ورؤساءه وزملاءه يعملون بالمجان أو دون أجر !
هذا الابتزاز العاطفي باسم الوطنية يجب أن يتوقف، ويجب أن يدرك هؤلاء أن 2025 إيفاء الناس حقوقهم عند تكليفهم بأي عمل هو جزء لا يتجزأ من الاحترافية والمهنية في الأعمال الناجحة، بينما تكون دائماً الأعمال القائمة على المجاملات والتطوع والاستغلال العاطفي أقل كفاءة وفاعلية !
حتى المؤسسات الخيرية في القطاع غير الربحي التي تعمل بنماذج تجارية، تجدها أكثر نجاحاً واستدامة وربحية من تلك التي تدار كما لو أن المال الخيري مال بلا قيمة مستردة!
اللافت أن هؤلاء المبتزين بالمشاعر الوطنية لا يتنازلون عن ريال واحد من حقوقهم وانتداباتهم وبدلاتهم في هذه المشاريع، التي يطالبون غيرهم بالعمل لها مجاناً ولو وجدوا فرصاً وظيفية بميزات أعلى في القطاع التجاري لتركوا أعمالهم الحكومية فوراً، وهذا ليس عيباً لكن لماذا يفرضون على غيرهم أن تكون علاقتهم بالأعمال الرسمية والحكومية بمنظور عاطفي باسم الوطنية، في الوقت الذي ينظرون فيه لعلاقاتهم بأعمالهم الوظيفية بمنظور مادي ؟!
باختصار.. خذ أجرك الذي تستحقه مقابل عملك في أي ميدان عمل، لكن لا تصادر حقوق الآخرين باسم الوطنية !

What frustrates me the most is when someone asks you to do work for free, under the pretext that the work is for an official project or a government entity in the name of patriotism, as if they and their bosses and colleagues are working for free or without pay!
This emotional blackmail in the name of patriotism must stop, and these people need to realize that in 2025, fulfilling people's rights when assigning them any work is an integral part of professionalism and competence in successful businesses, while work based on flattery, volunteering, and emotional exploitation is always less efficient and effective!
Even charitable institutions in the non-profit sector that operate with business models are often more successful, sustainable, and profitable than those managed as if charitable money is money without recoverable value!
Interestingly, these emotional blackmailers do not give up a single riyal of their rights, allowances, and compensations in these projects, which they demand others to work on for free. If they found job opportunities with better benefits in the commercial sector, they would leave their government jobs immediately. This is not a flaw, but why do they impose on others that their relationship with official and government work should be viewed emotionally in the name of patriotism, while they view their relationships with their jobs from a material perspective?!
In short... take the pay you deserve for your work in any field, but do not infringe on the rights of others in the name of patriotism!
