I was honored to attend and represent my country with the Saudi delegation at the inauguration ceremony of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, for a package of humanitarian and developmental projects in Syria, targeting both people and places. These include environmental, health, volunteer, and educational projects, as well as community support, rehabilitation projects, the Aman project for orphans, and other initiatives that Saudi Arabia has worked on and continues to work on to serve humanity.
These projects are an extension of the pioneering role that Saudi Arabia plays, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince, in providing humanitarian support to affected countries around the world, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, especially in the Arab and Islamic regions. The projects launched by Saudi Arabia in Syria are not limited to immediate relief; they also include developmental initiatives aimed at rebuilding what has been destroyed, providing healthcare, supporting education, and rehabilitating infrastructure, contributing to restoring life to affected communities. These initiatives prioritize the human aspect over the material, and the future over the present, reflecting the comprehensive development philosophy adopted by the Kingdom.
Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, Saudi Arabia has provided generous support to Syrian refugees and displaced persons both inside and outside Syria, through securing food, shelter, medical care, and education, in addition to its significant contributions to international conferences and direct financial aid for the benefit of UN programs and humanitarian organizations concerned with the Syrian issue.
The role that Saudi Arabia plays in Syria is not temporary or seasonal; rather, it is an extension of a consistent humanitarian policy that views supporting people as part of its moral and religious responsibility, striving to make a difference and build a more stable and just future for afflicted peoples.
In humanitarian work, Saudi Arabia knows no impossibility or challenges; it works to overcome obstacles and harness capabilities through diplomatic efforts focused on achieving goals with victims and those affected, as its noble humanitarian message
In conclusion, these efforts affirm that the Kingdom is not only an economic and political power but also an active humanitarian force that stands by those in need, proving in every crisis that the humanitarian dimension is a fundamental pillar of its policy, and that the name "Saudi Arabia" will remain synonymous with giving and hope in every corner of this world.
