جاء قرار وزارة التعليم بتدريس الذكاء الاصطناعي في مراحل التعليم العام في وقته ومواكباً لما يعيشه العالم في عصر يطلق عليه (عصر التقنية)، وتعمل معظم الدول على تطبيقها في جميع المجالات؛ بهدف بناء مجتمع رقمي مزدهر من خلال عملها على تطوير المهارات وتمكين الطاقات الوطنية الرقمية؛ لتكون قادرةً على تسريع عملية التحول الرقمي من خلال مؤسسات تعليمية تعمل على توطين التقنية وتطبيقها، وهذا ما يدعم تحقيق التوجهات الاستراتيجية لرؤية المملكة 2030م.
وازدادت أهمية تطبيق تقنية التعليم والمعلومات في سرعة تدفق المعلومات، فمن يمتلك العلم والتقنية والمعلومات هو القادر على مواكبة عصر الذكاء الاصطناعي، ولكي تحافظ المؤسسات على وجودها ومواكبة المنافسة يلزم عليها إنتاج نماذج أعمال مبتكرة وتنفيذها بسرعة وكفاءة وجودة عالية لتلبية توقعات المنتفعين، خاصة مع توافر البنى التحتية السريعة لخدمات الإنترنت، ووجود الأجهزة الذكية التي سهلت التعامل مع الشبكة العنكبوتية والاستفادة من خدماتها، بل أصبحت ضرورة لاستخدامها في تطوير الموارد البشرية.
وتخضع النظم التعليمية في معظم دول العالم لإصلاحات تربوية نتيجة للتقدم التقني؛ مما جعلها تتبنى الأساليب الحديثة في العملية الإدارية والتعليمية، فالتعليم يستخدم وسائل التقنية الحديثة لما لها من دور كبير في رفع المستوى التعليمي والإداري إلى مستوى الإبداع، ومنها التقنيات الذكية المعتمدة على تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي التي أثبتت فاعليتها في التعليم، والتي يتم من خلالها تطوير وتحديث العملية التعليمية والإدارية والاستفادة منها في تطوير نظم إدارة التعليم العام، حيث تعمل تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي على تغيير كيفية العثور على المعلومات والتفاعل معها.
وفي السياق ذاته، فإن عدداً من تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي يمكن استخدامها في التعليم، مثل تطبيقات التعرّف على الصوت، والألعاب، وصياغة أداء الإنسان، والتخطيط والأتمتة، والواقع المعزز، والوكيل الذكي، وروبوتات الدردشة، ونظم التعلم الذكية، وتطبيقات الأنظمة الخبيرة وبرامج حاسوبية تقلد إجراءات الخبراء في حل المشاكل الصعبة، ويستخدم في محاكاة الخبراء في اتخاذ القرارات وحل المشكلات، ويجيب المستخدمين عن استفساراتهم ويصحح أخطاءهم ويحل مشكلاتهم كما أنها على اتصال دائم وفوري بقاعدة المعرفة.
ولذلك يجب الاهتمام والعناية باختيار إدارة مدرسية مميزة ذات كفاءة ومهارة تقنية عالية مع العمل على تمكينها ومنحها التدريب المناسب، والمزيد من الحوافز والصلاحيات التي تمكنها من اتخاذ القرارات المتعلقة بعملها وتشجعها على المبادأة والإبداع والعمل على التخطيط والتواصل والتوجيه الإلكتروني في إدارة العملية التعليمية.
ومن هذا المنطلق، تسعى المملكة العربية السعودية لتطوير مؤسسات التعليم ليصبح التعليم السعودي من بين أفضل نظم التعليم في دول العالم في عام 2030م، ولسد الفجوة بين مخرجات التعليم ومتطلبات سوق العمل والاستثمار في التعليم وصناعة تعليم مميز والارتقاء به من خلال تحسين أداء مديري المؤسسات التعليميين والإداريين وتوفير البيانات اللازمة والأفراد المتمكنين والبنى التحتية لاستثمار المدرسة والقائد والمعلم بمحتوى الاتصال الرقمي، وتوضيح أساليب التقنية الرقمية التي يستخدمها الطلاب في التعامل مع التقنية، والعمل على توظيف وسائل الاتصال الرقمي في تعزيز قيمة الانتماء للوطن والاعتزاز به والدفاع عنه، كما يساعد الذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم وأتمتة الأنشطة الأساسية في التعليم، مثل التصنيف وتحديد الدرجات وتقدير الواجبات المنزلية والاختبارات والتطوير المهني، ويمكن للمعلمين إجراء التصنيف التلقائي لجميع أنواع الاختبارات المتعددة، وتكييف البرامج التعليمية لاحتياجات الطلاب من الروضة إلى الدراسات العليا.

The decision by the Ministry of Education to teach artificial intelligence in general education stages comes at the right time and is in line with what the world is experiencing in an era referred to as the "Era of Technology." Most countries are working to implement it in all fields, aiming to build a prosperous digital society by developing skills and empowering national digital capacities to accelerate the digital transformation process through educational institutions that work on localizing and applying technology. This supports the achievement of the strategic directions of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The importance of applying educational technology and information has increased due to the rapid flow of information. Those who possess knowledge, technology, and information are capable of keeping pace with the era of artificial intelligence. To maintain their presence and compete, institutions must produce innovative business models and implement them quickly, efficiently, and with high quality to meet the expectations of beneficiaries, especially with the availability of fast internet infrastructure and the presence of smart devices that facilitate interaction with the web and benefit from its services. It has become a necessity to use it in developing human resources.
Educational systems in most countries around the world are undergoing educational reforms due to technological advancements, which have led them to adopt modern methods in administrative and educational processes. Education uses modern technological means due to their significant role in elevating the educational and administrative level to a level of creativity. Among these are smart technologies based on artificial intelligence applications that have proven effective in education, through which the educational and administrative processes are developed and updated, benefiting from them in enhancing general education management systems. AI applications change how information is found and interacted with.
In this context, several artificial intelligence applications can be used in education, such as voice recognition applications, games, human performance modeling, planning and automation, augmented reality, intelligent agents, chatbots, intelligent learning systems, expert systems applications, and software programs that mimic expert procedures in solving difficult problems. They are used to simulate experts in decision-making and problem-solving, answering users' inquiries, correcting their mistakes, and solving their issues while maintaining constant and immediate connection to a knowledge base.
Therefore, attention must be paid to selecting a distinguished school administration with high technical competence and skills, along with efforts to empower it and provide appropriate training, as well as more incentives and authorities that enable it to make decisions related to its work and encourage initiative, creativity, planning, communication, and electronic guidance in managing the educational process.
From this perspective, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia seeks to develop educational institutions so that Saudi education becomes one of the best educational systems in the world by 2030, to bridge the gap between educational outputs and labor market requirements, and to invest in education, creating exceptional education and elevating it through improving the performance of educational and administrative institution managers, providing necessary data, capable individuals, and infrastructure to invest in schools, leaders, and teachers with digital communication content. It clarifies the digital technology methods used by students in dealing with technology and works to employ digital communication means to enhance the value of belonging to the homeland, pride in it, and defending it. Additionally, artificial intelligence assists in education and automating essential activities in education, such as grading, assessing homework, tests, and professional development. Teachers can conduct automatic grading for all types of multiple-choice tests and adapt educational programs to meet the needs of students from kindergarten to postgraduate studies.
