The international community prohibits "non-nuclear" countries, including Arab nations, from even studying physics, chemistry, and nuclear engineering, so that they do not exploit their knowledge in these sciences to produce weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear weapons... There is even greater strictness towards Arabs... because the resentment and oppression that Arabs feel towards the Zionists (which American politicians are aware of) may push Arabs - or some of them - to use this knowledge against their arch-enemy (especially since this enemy wields the same weapon against them)... This poses a (serious) threat to "Israel's security"...!! As they say.
One of the wonders and injustices of international relations in the modern and contemporary era is that a superpower (the USA) exerts all its weight... to ensure the "superiority" and dominance of an artificial aggressive state (Israel) in all fields, including armament with all types of strategic weapons, while at the same time, it does everything in its power to weaken the other party (the Arabs) and prevent their rise... so that they do not threaten "Israel's security"... and so that their countries become easy prey for imperialism, Zionism, and their abhorrent colonial ambitions.
This wonder is manifested in: Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and others. It is even more clearly evident in the issue of nuclear armament. While Israel is allowed - and even provided with all possible support - to possess around 200 nuclear warheads and the means to carry and launch them in a major circle... that almost covers the entire Arab world, from the Atlantic to the Gulf, the USA - and Israel - raise a huge uproar if one of the Arab countries begins nuclear research or considers acquiring a nuclear infrastructure for peaceful purposes!

Israel has acquired a striking nuclear capability, with comprehensive Western and American technical and political support. Israel still refuses even to submit its nuclear facilities to international inspection and insists - with unprecedented shamelessness and audacity - on not joining the "Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty" (NPT) and mocks all Arab (and regional and international) attempts aimed at establishing a "Nuclear Weapons-Free Zone in the Middle East" (MENFZ).
As for the Arabs, they have signed and ratified the aforementioned treaty, one country after another. Nevertheless, some American circles continue to work to ensure that the Arab world remains devoid of any significant nuclear technical knowledge. We have seen what America did to Iraq (at the behest of Zionist circles) merely because it had some scientists capable of developing nuclear weapons, whom Israel killed during the American invasion of Iraq... and the mere possibility of Iraq acquiring a nuclear option in the long term.

From time to time, some American Zionist media outlets raise claims that the Kingdom, or another Arab state, has dangerous nuclear facilities and materials, and that it should be rid of this technology and prevented from possessing a peaceful nuclear infrastructure. This is a falsehood... whose only aim is to divert attention from Israel's nuclear capabilities.
Saudi officials have dealt with these lies wisely and realistically... silencing those voices and embarrassing the Zionists. These officials have affirmed the Kingdom's right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, the absence of any desire to possess military nuclear capability, and a complete lack of interest in nuclear armament, especially since the Kingdom has signed and ratified the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, among others. They also drew attention to Israel and its disgraceful position on the nuclear issue. The Kingdom is at the forefront of countries advocating the use of nuclear energy solely for peaceful purposes. What further demonstrates its good intentions in this regard is its signing (on 16/6/2005) of the safeguards agreement and the small quantities protocol stemming from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The current Saudi nuclear policy is good, positive, and generally suitable for the nuclear and political conditions, both locally, regionally, and globally. It contains much wisdom and emphasizes that the Kingdom is a peace-loving state. On the other hand, it seems that we - as citizens - hope that the Saudi "nuclear infrastructure" - that is, the totality of scientists, technicians, and nuclear facilities - is not nonexistent or very minimal. We hope that efforts will always be made to develop and support it... to align with the scientific and technical level that the country has reached, and that its goal remains - as it currently is - to exploit nuclear power for various peaceful purposes, including: generating energy, desalinating water, building roads, and medical treatment... etc.
As for the military nuclear option, the Kingdom has completely ruled it out. However, the insistence of some potential adversaries to possess this option, foremost among them Israel and Iran (which are on the borders of Saudi Arabia), may make it reasonable to reconsider this exclusion - later on - especially if a just peace is not achieved in the region.
