The federations are competing to choose a president, and the competition has reached an advanced stage of clarity. In this competition, there is a benefit for the club, not a harm as pessimists perceive.
Sindi and Anmar have drawn a roadmap for the upcoming journey of the federation, which has conditions that each team believes are met by its candidate.
From my neutral seat, I see this competition as a healthy phenomenon, provided it does not deviate from its civilizational path.
Colleagues from the federative media have entered the fray by adopting a candidate from each side, which is commendable. I see it as a battle of minds, not feet.
However, this conflict has been marred by some exchanges that I did not appreciate, contributed to by the heated elections, but they did not affect the narrative of each direction.
For example, colleague Mohammed Al-Bukairi announced his support for Anmar Al-Haili, and this is one of his simplest rights as long as this bias has justification.
On the other side, colleague Adnan Jastania did not hide his support for Fahd Sindi, and this is also a natural matter as long as the stage accommodates all opinions.
I wish we could see such competition in all clubs, not just the federation; to frame the elections with a movement that ultimately produces the most suitable and appropriate atmosphere in each club.
The issue is not about love and hate as much as it is about a conviction based on data that makes each team see its candidate as the most suitable.
Finally: “I realized that a person can run from one pole of the Earth to the other, just because he loves, and I also realized that he might find even the step out of his room burdensome, just because he has been let down.”
