The overwhelming influx from broadcasting causes a person to tremble, losing their balance, and any adjustment to the tremor will fail to achieve its desired goal.
In the past, following the industrial revolution, people felt those violent tremors that seized the gentle and easy life. The opinions of psychologists and sociologists leaned towards retreating from the consequences of that revolution, while writers and artists embraced the idea of returning to the village as an existential attachment to an environment that preserves psychological components, restoring spontaneity and instilling calmness within you, which had been disturbed by the bare and shocking actions of the city. The call to return to the village was a trend, and for many long years, European villages and rural areas remained targeted places for comfort and tranquility. Some villages clung to rural kindness, distancing themselves from the city’s products that bring psychological pressures and the rapid pace of life racing towards needs and their provision, as they had turned into primary needs..
And now, with the noise of current life, is it appropriate to revive the call to return to the village?
The formulation of the idea undermines itself, as there is no longer a village; the city has settled in all the villages, bringing with it all its noise-inducing tools, starting with electricity and its uses. Through electricity, the rest of the engines of city life poured in. There is no longer a village with its old specifications. I was visiting my region, moving between the villages that inhabited my depths, yet I did not find the village that dwelled in my memories; every village has turned into a city.. and rural behavior has transformed into urban behavior.. And when the internet became an indispensable part of life, at the beginning of its emergence, the loud claim was that the world lives in a small village, which was the first encroachment on the concept of the village. As days passed, there was no village left except for your rib cage, that is, if it hasn’t been encroached upon and transformed into a shared right of artificial intelligence. So, where do we go to avoid ourselves and preserve our well-being? Where do we go?
