Israeli media reported that Egypt offered Hamas a "comprehensive deal" that stipulates the release of the Israeli hostages in its custody and the disarmament of the group, in exchange for the release of Palestinians and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The official Israeli broadcasting authority announced today (Tuesday) that a delegation from Hamas arrived in Cairo to discuss a new initiative that includes a comprehensive deal for the release of 50 Israelis (all prisoners, both alive and deceased) in exchange for the disarmament of the movement.

It revealed that the mediators proposed a comprehensive deal to Hamas, which includes the release of all captives, both alive and deceased, in exchange for the release of Palestinian security prisoners and the disarmament of Hamas.

The initiative discusses a new withdrawal plan for the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip, under joint Arab-American supervision until a permanent solution is reached regarding the disarmament of Hamas and the governance of the territory.

According to the new deal, "Hamas must commit to freezing the activities of its military wing and disarming it, with guarantees from international mediators," according to the authority, which confirmed that "negotiations are simultaneously underway to reach a permanent ceasefire agreement."

The authority reported that the occupying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is no longer seeking partial deals and has announced the acceleration of military operations to control Gaza in order to end the war quickly, according to its statement.

The authority noted the belief of the negotiating team and the mediators in the possibility of bridging the gaps between the two sides, stating that Netanyahu described Hamas's conditions during the last round of negotiations as "surrender conditions" to Israel, which prevented reaching an agreement at that time.

However, the broadcasting authority spoke of a division within the Israeli negotiating team regarding the possibility of progress in negotiations to reach an agreement for a prisoner exchange and a ceasefire.

It quoted informed sources as saying that there are differences of opinion among the negotiating team members regarding the possibility of making progress at the current stage.

Hamas has previously rejected any proposal for disarmament or its exit from the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that any arrangements for the future of the territory must be agreed upon by Palestinians.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti announced at a press conference yesterday (Monday) that Cairo is pushing for a "complete agreement and a comprehensive deal" to end the war in Gaza.
