أطلقت إدارة التعليم بمحافظة رجال ألمع، بالتعاون مع جمعية النحالين بالمحافظة، مبادرة «ملكات النحل» التي تهدف إلى تمكين الطالبات في مجال تربية النحل، ودعم مبادرة «السعودية الخضراء»، وتعزيز الاستدامة البيئية والمجتمعية. وتركّز المبادرة على تدريب الطالبات على تربية النحل وطرق استخلاص منتجاته مثل العسل والشمع، إلى جانب إقامة ورش تدريبية في الصناعات التحويلية المرتبطة بمنتجات النحل كصناعة الشموع والصابون، ما يعزز من المهارات التطبيقية والريادية للطالبات. وتسعى المبادرة إلى الحفاظ على هذا الإرث الذي عُرفت به محافظة رجال ألمع، وتعزيز حضور تقاليد تربية النحل كعامل جذب سياحي وثقافي، من خلال استثمار طاقات الطالبات في مشاريع عملية تعزز من ارتباطهن بالمكان والبيئة، كما خُصّص ريع المبادرة لدعم أطفال التوحد ومتلازمة داون، ومساندة الأسر المحتاجة، ودعم الأعمال التطوعية، في تأكيد على البعد الإنساني والمجتمعي للمبادرة.
وأوضحت المشرفة على المبادرة منى خليل، أن «مبادرة ملكات النحل تهدف إلى غرس ثقافة العطاء والعمل المنتج لدى الطالبات، وربط التعليم بالمجتمع والبيئة بطريقة عملية وملهمة»، مشيرة إلى أن المبادرة، تُعد تجربة تدمج المهارات الحياتية بالمعرفة، وتشجع الطالبات على الابتكار، كما تنمّي لديهن الشعور بأهمية الحفاظ على البيئة والإرث الوطني من خلال دعم مبادرة «السعودية الخضراء»، لكون النحل من أهم الكائنات في النظام البيئي، إذ يسهم بفعالية في التلقيح الزراعي الذي تعتمد عليه المحاصيل في إنتاج الثمار والبذور. يُذكر أن فريق المبادرة تأهل أخيراً للمرحلة الثانية من جائزة الأميرة صيتة بنت عبدالعزيز للتميز في العمل الاجتماعي، في إنجاز يُبرز جدية المشروع، وتأثيره المجتمعي الملهم. وتأتي هذه المبادرة ضمن برامج إدارة التعليم بمحافظة رجال ألمع، الرامية إلى تنمية مهارات الطالبات، وتعزيز المسؤولية المجتمعية، وترسيخ مفاهيم الاستدامة، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
The Education Administration in the Governorate of Rijal Almaa, in collaboration with the Beekeepers Association in the governorate, launched the "Queen Bees" initiative, which aims to empower female students in the field of beekeeping, support the "Green Saudi Arabia" initiative, and enhance environmental and community sustainability. The initiative focuses on training female students in beekeeping and methods of extracting its products such as honey and wax, in addition to holding training workshops in the processing industries related to bee products like candle and soap making, which enhances the practical and entrepreneurial skills of the students. The initiative seeks to preserve this heritage for which the Governorate of Rijal Almaa is known, and to promote the presence of beekeeping traditions as a tourist and cultural attraction, by investing the energies of the students in practical projects that strengthen their connection to the place and the environment. The proceeds from the initiative are designated to support children with autism and Down syndrome, assist needy families, and support volunteer work, emphasizing the humanitarian and community dimension of the initiative.
The supervisor of the initiative, Mona Khalil, explained that "the Queen Bees initiative aims to instill a culture of giving and productive work among female students, and to connect education with the community and the environment in a practical and inspiring way." She pointed out that the initiative is an experience that integrates life skills with knowledge, encourages students to innovate, and develops in them a sense of the importance of preserving the environment and national heritage by supporting the "Green Saudi Arabia" initiative, as bees are among the most important creatures in the ecosystem, contributing effectively to agricultural pollination on which crops depend for producing fruits and seeds. It is noteworthy that the initiative team recently qualified for the second phase of the Princess Sita bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work, in an achievement that highlights the seriousness of the project and its inspiring community impact. This initiative is part of the programs of the Education Administration in the Governorate of Rijal Almaa, aimed at developing the skills of female students, enhancing community responsibility, and solidifying sustainability concepts, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
