انطلقت صباح اليوم، النسخة الثانية من منتدى عسير للاستثمار، بمقر جامعة الملك خالد بالفرعاء في مدينة أبها تحت شعار «عسير تزدهر.. استثمر الآن»، برعاية أمير منطقة عسير رئيس هيئة تطوير المنطقة الأمير تركي بن طلال بن عبدالعزيز، بمشاركة عددٍ من الوزراء، وكِبار المسؤولين، والمستثمرين، والخبراء من داخل المملكة وخارجها.
ويأتي المنتدى ضمن جهود هيئة تطوير منطقة عسير؛ لتعزيز مكانة المنطقة وجهةً استثماريةً رائدةً، حيث يجمع في نسخته الثانية 1500 ضيفٍ من قادة القطاعات التنموية والمستثمرين وصُنّاع القرار؛ لبحث سبل تطوير البيئة الاستثمارية في المنطقة، وتكامل الجهود الحكومية والخاصة، بما يحقق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وافتتحت أعمال المنتدى بجلسة وزارية بعنوان «عسير تشرق... وجهة استثمارية على خارطة العالم»، بمشاركة وزير السياحة أحمد الخطيب، ووزير الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات المهندس عبدالله السواحة، ووزير الشؤون البلدية بدولة قطر عبدالله العطية، حيث يتناول المتحدثون في الجلسة دور البنية التحتية والتحول الرقمي والفعاليات الكبرى، منها -ترشح مدينة أبها لاستضافة كأس العالم 2034- في دعم مسار التنمية الاقتصادية بالمنطقة.
وشارك وزير التجارة الدكتور ماجد القصبي في المنتدى من خلال حديث قيادي يستعرض فيه أداء القطاع التجاري في منطقة عسير، ودور الوزارة في تيسير رحلة المستثمر، وتحفيز بيئة الأعمال، إلى جانب تسليط الضوء على دور الغرف التجارية في دعم نمو المناطق المختلفة.
ويشهد المنتدى أيضاً مشاركة رئيس مجلس هيئة السوق المالية محمد القويز، في حديث يتناول تمكين المناطق الواعدة من خلال الأسواق المالية، وآليات التمويل المتاحة أمام المستثمرين، إضافة إلى استعراض تطور التشريعات والأنظمة في سياق تحفيز الاقتصاد الوطني.
ويتضمن المنتدى خمس جلسات رئيسة تُناقش أبرز ملامح البيئة الاستثمارية في منطقة عسير، والفرص المتاحة في قطاعات السياحة، والتقنية، والبنية التحتية، والاقتصاد الإبداعي، إضافة إلى استعراض دور صندوق الاستثمارات العامة في دعم التنمية من خلال مشاريعه النوعية، ومشاركة الشركات التابعة له في تسريع النمو وتعزيز الاستدامة.

This morning, the second edition of the Asir Investment Forum was launched at King Khalid University in Al-Faraa, Abha, under the slogan "Asir Flourishes... Invest Now," under the patronage of the Governor of Asir Region, Chairman of the Region Development Authority, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, with the participation of several ministers, senior officials, investors, and experts from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The forum is part of the efforts of the Asir Region Development Authority to enhance the region's status as a leading investment destination, gathering in its second edition 1,500 guests from leaders of developmental sectors, investors, and decision-makers to discuss ways to develop the investment environment in the region and integrate government and private efforts to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The forum's activities opened with a ministerial session titled "Asir Shines... An Investment Destination on the World Map," featuring the participation of Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Abdullah Al-Sawaha, and Minister of Municipal Affairs of Qatar Abdullah Al-Attiyah. The speakers in the session discussed the role of infrastructure, digital transformation, and major events, including Abha's nomination to host the 2034 World Cup, in supporting the economic development path in the region.
Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi participated in the forum with a leadership talk reviewing the performance of the commercial sector in the Asir region, the ministry's role in facilitating the investor journey, and stimulating the business environment, in addition to highlighting the role of chambers of commerce in supporting the growth of various regions.
The forum also features the participation of the Chairman of the Capital Market Authority, Mohammed Al-Qwaiz, in a discussion addressing the empowerment of promising regions through financial markets and the financing mechanisms available to investors, as well as reviewing the development of legislation and regulations in the context of stimulating the national economy.
The forum includes five main sessions discussing the key features of the investment environment in the Asir region and the available opportunities in the tourism, technology, infrastructure, and creative economy sectors, in addition to showcasing the role of the Public Investment Fund in supporting development through its quality projects and the participation of its affiliated companies in accelerating growth and enhancing sustainability.
