تحوّل الطريق القديم الرابط بين مدينتي كاشان وقم وسط إيران، مساء السبت، إلى مسرح لحادث مروّع خلّف تسعة قتلى، بعدما اصطدمت شاحنة مقطورة بمركبتين في واحدة من أكثر الحوادث دموية التي شهدها الطريق في الآونة الأخيرة.
وقال رئيس جمعية الهلال الأحمر في كاشان، محمد مصباحي مقدم، إن الحادث وقع قرابة الساعة الثامنة مساء، مشيرًا إلى أن فريق إنقاذ مكوّنًا من ستة عناصر تحرك إلى الموقع فور تلقي البلاغ.
وأوضح أن التقييم الأولي الذي أجرته فرق الإنقاذ أكد وفاة تسعة أشخاص في موقع الحادث، فيما أُصيب مساعد سائق الشاحنة، ونُقل إلى أحد المراكز الطبية في مدينة كاشان لتلقي العلاج.
ولفت مصباحي مقدم إلى أن ملابسات الحادث وأسبابه لا تزال قيد التحقيق من قبل الجهات المختصة، تمهيدًا لتحديد ظروف وقوعه.
The old road linking the cities of Kashan and Qom in central Iran turned into a scene of a horrific accident on Saturday evening, resulting in nine fatalities after a trailer truck collided with two vehicles in one of the deadliest incidents the road has witnessed recently.
The head of the Red Crescent Society in Kashan, Mohammad Masbahi Moghadam, stated that the accident occurred around 8 PM, noting that a rescue team consisting of six members was dispatched to the site immediately upon receiving the report.
He explained that the initial assessment conducted by the rescue teams confirmed the death of nine individuals at the accident site, while the assistant driver of the truck was injured and transported to a medical center in Kashan for treatment.
Masbahi Moghadam pointed out that the circumstances and causes of the accident are still under investigation by the relevant authorities, in preparation for determining the conditions surrounding its occurrence.
