The case of a woman’s murder inside her home in Virginia, USA, has taken a more serious turn after police found a list of names in the car of her accused husband, suggesting he was planning to target them, with his wife’s name included among those listed.
Roger Bradford (60 years old) faces charges related to the murder of his wife, Lisa Bradford (54 years old), who was found dead by police inside the couple's home on September 22.
The wife's name on the list
Police in Pennsylvania found a memo containing the names of several individuals inside the rental car driven by the accused at the time of his arrest, while investigators are looking into whether they represent potential targets.
The wife’s name was among those listed in the memo, prompting authorities to examine the other names and investigate the background and purpose of the list.
Suspicious movements indicating planning
Investigations revealed that Bradford rented a car on the morning of the incident, then went to a storage unit to obtain .45 caliber ammunition before purchasing plastic ties from a store.
Investigators are focusing on these movements as they occurred before his wife was found murdered inside the home, while case documents indicated that she was found with her hands bound.
Police discovered Lisa had died from a gunshot wound, while relevant authorities continue to examine the evidence to determine whether these movements were connected to planning the incident.
Contacting family before leaving
The police began their actions following a call made by the accused to a family member before he left the house in the rental car.
The search for him extended across multiple states before police were able to apprehend him in Pennsylvania hours after finding his wife.
The investigation is ongoing
The accused was later returned to Virginia to face charges, while authorities continue to examine the memo and the names listed, along with his movements in the hours leading up to the incident.
The case remains before the courts, and the charges against the accused are subject to judicial determination.
