سجلت بلجيكا 2935 حالة وفاة إضافية مقارنة بما يُسجّل عادة، خلال موجات الحر الثلاث التي ضربت البلاد بين منتصف يونيو ومنتصف أغسطس، بحسب تقرير محدّث أصدره الخميس المعهد الوطني للصحة العامة «ساينسانو».
يتضمن التقرير معدلات متعلقة بموجة الحر الأخيرة التي ضربت البلاد، إذ بلغت نسبة الوفيات الزائدة عن المعدل الاعتيادي 7%، حيث يمثل ذلك 365 حالة وفاة إضافية، تُضاف إلى 2570 حالة وفاة أُعلن عنها قبل أسبوعين لموجتي حر في يونيو ويوليو.
ووزّع «ساينسانو» الأرقام بحسب المناطق، إذ تُشير السلطات إلى أن هذه الوفيات يُعنى بها بشكل أساسي «الأشخاص الذين تقل أعمارهم عن 85 عامًا في فلاندر وبروكسل» و«الأشخاص الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 85 عامًا فأكثر في والونيا».
Belgium recorded 2,935 additional deaths compared to what is usually recorded, during the three heatwaves that hit the country between mid-June and mid-August, according to an updated report released on Thursday by the National Institute of Public Health "Sciensano".
The report includes rates related to the recent heatwave that struck the country, as the excess mortality rate over the usual average reached 7%, representing an additional 365 deaths, which are added to the 2,570 deaths announced two weeks ago for the heatwaves in June and July.
Sciensano distributed the figures by regions, as authorities indicate that these deaths primarily concern "people under the age of 85 in Flanders and Brussels" and "people aged 85 and older in Wallonia".
