أسدلت محكمة تراونشتاين الإقليمية في ولاية بافاريا الألمانية الستار على قضية مقتل المصرية إيمان حسن، البالغة 34 عاماً، بعدما قضت بسجن زوجها عبدالرحيم مطاوع (45 عاماً)ً، لمدة 12 عاماً، عقب إدانته بالتسبب في وفاتها وإخفاء جثمانها داخل إحدى الغابات، في جريمة ظلت تفاصيلها غامضة لأكثر من 7 أشهر.
وأدانت المحكمة المتهم بجريمة القتل غير العمد، بعدما خلصت إلى أنه قتل زوجته داخل مسكنهما المشترك في مدينة باد أيبلينج جنوب بافاريا، قبل أن ينقل جثمانها بسيارته ويخفيه في منطقة غابات قريبة.
اختفاء إيمان وبداية رحلة البحث
تعود وقائع القضية إلى نوفمبر 2024، عندما انقطع الاتصال بإيمان بشكل مفاجئ، وفي أعقاب اختفائها، أبلغ زوجها أسرتها بأنها غادرت المنزل، وتركت خلفها أطفالها الثلاثة، من بينهم رضيع، إلى جانب هاتفها المحمول، قبل أن يتقدم ببلاغ إلى الشرطة بشأن اختفائها بعد مرور نحو أسبوعين.
ومع مرور الوقت، تصاعدت المخاوف بشأن مصيرها، خصوصاً مع عدم ظهور أي معلومات موثوقة بشأن مكان وجودها.
وبحسب معارف لإيمان في ألمانيا، كانت قد لجأت في وقت سابق إلى دار لحماية النساء المعنفات (Frauenhaus) برفقة أطفالها، بعدما تعرضت، وفق رواياتهم، للعنف من جانب زوجها، لكنها غادرت الدار في وقت لاحق.
العثور على الجثمان بعد أكثر من 7 أشهر
ظل مصير إيمان مجهولاً حتى يونيو 2025، عندما عثرت السلطات الألمانية على جثمانها في غابة بالقرب من مدينة باد أيبلينج.
وجاء العثور على الجثمان بصورة عرضية، أثناء عملية بحث كانت تجريها السلطات عن طفل تائه في المنطقة، إذ بدأت الكلاب البوليسية في الحفر بموقع محدد، لتكتشف جثمان إيمان مدفوناً وملفوفاً بغطاء.
وبحسب المعلومات الواردة في القضية، تبين أن الغطاء الذي عُثر على الجثمان ملفوفاً بداخله كان موجوداً من قبل في منزل إيمان، وظهر في صور التُقطت داخل المسكن.
وعقب اكتشاف الجثمان، بدأت التحقيقات في ملابسات وفاتها، قبل أن تتجه الشبهات إلى الزوج، الذي ألقت السلطات القبض عليه، لتبدأ محاكمته في القضية.
كيف وقعت الجريمة؟
خلصت المحكمة الألمانية إلى أن المتهم دخل في مشادة مع زوجته داخل منزلهما، قبل أن يضربها بقوة باستخدام أداة، ما تسبب في إصابات خطيرة في الرأس والجزء العلوي من جسدها أدت إلى وفاتها.
وبعد ذلك، لف المتهم جثمان زوجته العاري في غطاء ذي نقوش تشبه جلد النمر، ثم نقله بواسطة سيارته إلى غابة بالقرب من باد أيبلينج، حيث أخفاه بين الأشجار والشجيرات.
وأشارت المحكمة إلى أن خلفية الجريمة ارتبطت بالخلافات الزوجية، ورغبة إيمان في الانفصال عن زوجها والعودة إلى مصر برفقة أطفالها الثلاثة.
كما توصلت التحقيقات إلى أن الزوج كان قد اعتدى على زوجته جسدياً ونفسياً منذ نهاية عام 2022، وفق ما أوردته القضية أمام المحكمة.
لماذا لم يصدر حكم بالسجن المؤبد؟
رغم أن المتهم كان يحاكم بتهمة القتل العمد، فإن المحكمة لم تجد أدلة كافية تثبت أن الجريمة كانت مخططاً لها مسبقاً.
وبناءً على ذلك، انتهت المحكمة إلى إدانته بالقتل غير العمد، وقضت بسجنه 12 عاماً.
وكانت النيابة العامة قد طالبت بإدانته بجريمة القتل العمد والحكم عليه بالسجن مدى الحياة، بينما طالبت هيئة الدفاع عن المتهم ببراءته.
لكن المحكمة أخذت في الاعتبار ما توصلت إليه من ملابسات الواقعة، وانتهت إلى العقوبة الصادرة بحقه.
مأساة لم تنتهِ بالحكم
ولا تزال تداعيات القضية تلقي بظلالها على أسرة إيمان، إذ يقيم أطفالها الثلاثة في دار لرعاية الأطفال بألمانيا منذ وفاة والدتهم.
وتناشد أسرة إيمان وزارة الخارجية المصرية والسفارة المصرية في ألمانيا مساعدتها في استعادة الأطفال، وإنهاء معاناتهم التي بدأت باختفاء والدتهم وانتهت بمقتلها، بينما وجدوا أنفسهم بعيداً عن أسرتهم في مصر.
The Traunstein Regional Court in Bavaria, Germany, has closed the case of the murder of Egyptian woman Iman Hassan, 34, sentencing her husband Abdul Rahim Matawi (45) to 12 years in prison after convicting him of causing her death and hiding her body in a forest, in a crime whose details remained unclear for more than 7 months.
The court found the defendant guilty of involuntary manslaughter, concluding that he killed his wife inside their shared residence in Bad Aibling, southern Bavaria, before transporting her body in his car and concealing it in a nearby forest area.
The Disappearance of Iman and the Beginning of the Search
The events of the case date back to November 2024, when Iman suddenly lost contact. Following her disappearance, her husband informed her family that she had left home, leaving behind their three children, including a baby, as well as her mobile phone, before he filed a report with the police about her disappearance after about two weeks.
As time passed, concerns about her fate escalated, especially with no reliable information emerging about her whereabouts.
According to acquaintances of Iman in Germany, she had previously sought refuge in a shelter for abused women (Frauenhaus) with her children, after reportedly experiencing violence from her husband, but she left the shelter later.
Finding the Body After More Than 7 Months
Iman's fate remained unknown until June 2025, when German authorities discovered her body in a forest near Bad Aibling.
The body was found accidentally during a search being conducted by authorities for a missing child in the area, as police dogs began digging at a specific location, uncovering Iman's body buried and wrapped in a blanket.
According to the information presented in the case, it was revealed that the blanket found wrapped around the body had previously been in Iman's home and appeared in photos taken inside the residence.
Following the discovery of the body, investigations into the circumstances of her death began, leading to suspicions about the husband, who was arrested by authorities, initiating his trial in the case.
How Did the Crime Occur?
The German court concluded that the defendant had engaged in an argument with his wife inside their home before striking her forcefully with an object, causing severe injuries to her head and upper body that led to her death.
Afterward, the defendant wrapped his wife's naked body in a blanket with a pattern resembling leopard skin, then transported it by car to a forest near Bad Aibling, where he concealed it among the trees and bushes.
The court noted that the background of the crime was linked to marital disputes and Iman's desire to separate from her husband and return to Egypt with her three children.
Investigations also revealed that the husband had physically and psychologically abused his wife since late 2022, as stated in the case before the court.
Why Wasn't a Life Sentence Issued?
Although the defendant was being tried for premeditated murder, the court found insufficient evidence to prove that the crime had been planned in advance.
Consequently, the court convicted him of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
The public prosecutor had demanded his conviction for premeditated murder and a life sentence, while the defense team requested his acquittal.
However, the court took into account the circumstances it had uncovered and reached the sentence issued against him.
A Tragedy That Did Not End with the Verdict
The repercussions of the case continue to cast a shadow over Iman's family, as her three children have been living in a children's care home in Germany since their mother's death.
Iman's family is appealing to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian embassy in Germany to assist them in recovering the children and ending their suffering, which began with their mother's disappearance and ended with her murder, while they find themselves far from their family in Egypt.
