أعلنت هيئة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية أن زلزالاً بلغت قوته 4.5 درجات على مقياس ريختر ضرب اليوم منطقة «كوماموتو» في المحافظة التي تحمل الاسم ذاته، دون ورود أنباء فورية عن وقوع أضرار مادية أو بشرية.
وأفادت الهيئة -حسبما ذكرت هيئة الإذاعة اليابانية (إن إتش كيه)- بأن مركز الزلزال وقع على عمق عشرة كيلومترات، فيما لم يتم إصدار أي تحذيرات من احتمال وقوع موجات مد عاتية (تسونامي) في أعقاب الهزة الأرضية.
وكانت الهيئة قد أعلنت أمس وقوع زلزال بقوة 4.9 درجات على مقياس ريختر في محافظة «كوماموتو» الواقعة بجزيرة كيوشو جنوب اليابان، حيث يأتي الزلزالان في حين لا تزال محافظة «كوماموتو» تتعامل مع تداعيات الزلزال القوي الذي ضربها في 28 يوليو الماضي بقوة 7.1 درجات على مقياس ريختر، وأسفر عن مقتل 38 شخصاً، الأمر الذي أبقى السلطات في حالة تأهب لمواجهة أي هزات ارتدادية محتملة أو مستجدات طارئة.
The Japan Meteorological Agency announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale struck today in the "Kumamoto" area of the prefecture of the same name, with no immediate reports of material or human damage.
The agency reported - as mentioned by the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) - that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometers, and no warnings were issued regarding the possibility of a tsunami following the tremor.
Yesterday, the agency announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale occurred in the "Kumamoto" prefecture located on Kyushu Island in southern Japan, as the two earthquakes come at a time when Kumamoto Prefecture is still dealing with the aftermath of a strong earthquake that struck on July 28 with a magnitude of 7.1 on the Richter scale, resulting in the deaths of 38 people, which has kept authorities on alert for any potential aftershocks or emergency developments.
