ضرب زلزال بقوة 5.1 درجات، (الخميس)، منطقتي أماكوسا وأشيكيتا في محافظة كوماموتو جنوب غربي اليابان، دون ورود أنباء فورية عن سقوط ضحايا أو وقوع خسائر مادية.
ووفقًا لبيانات وكالة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية، وقع الزلزال عند الساعة 7:59 صباحاً بالتوقيت المحلي، وحدد مركزه في منطقة أماكوسا وأشيكيتا بمحافظة كوماموتو، على عمق نحو 10 كيلومترات، فيما بلغت أعلى شدة مسجلة للهزة «4» وفق مقياس الزلازل الياباني.
وأظهرت بيانات الوكالة أن قوة الزلزال بلغت 5.1 درجات، عند إحداثيات تقارب خط عرض 32.5 درجة شمالاً وخط طول 130.5 درجة شرقاً.
ولم تصدر السلطات اليابانية تحذيراً من احتمال حدوث موجات مد عاتية «تسونامي» جراء الزلزال، فيما تواصل الجهات المختصة متابعة النشاط الزلزالي في المنطقة.

According to data from the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake occurred at 7:59 AM local time, with its epicenter located in the Amakusa and Ashikita areas of Kumamoto Prefecture, at a depth of about 10 kilometers, while the highest intensity recorded for the tremor was "4" on the Japanese seismic scale.
The agency's data showed that the earthquake's magnitude was 5.1, at coordinates approximately 32.5 degrees north latitude and 130.5 degrees east longitude.
No tsunami warning was issued by Japanese authorities following the earthquake, while relevant agencies continue to monitor seismic activity in the region.
