وأوضحت هيئة الزلازل الكندية أن الزلزال وقع على عمق 10 كيلومترات، عند خط عرض 49.62 درجة شمالاً، وخط طول 129.28 درجة غرباً.
ولم ترد أنباء على الفور عن وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية جراء الزلزال.
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Vancouver Island area in Canada today.
The Canadian earthquake agency reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, at a latitude of 49.62 degrees north and a longitude of 129.28 degrees west.
No immediate reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake have been received.
