في مداهمة خاطفة كشفت واحدة من أعقد عمليات اللاهثين خلف «أوهام الثراء السريع»، وجهت السلطات الأمنية التونسية ضربة موجعة لشبكات سرقة التراث، عقب الإطاحة بعصابة منظمة متخصصة في التنقيب غير القانوني عن الآثار والكنوز التاريخية داخل إحدى المناطق الريفية بمحافظة منوبة.
العملية الأمنية أسفرت عن ضبط 6 أشخاص، بينهم امرأة، تلبسوا بتنفيذ أعمال حفر وتنقيب سري عميقة داخل أحد المنازل، وسط حالة من الذهول بين الأهالي عقب اكتشاف التجهيزات والآليات المتطورة التي كانت بحوزة المجموعة!
لكن المفاجأة الصادمة لم تكمن فقط في جراءة المخطط، بل في حجم التجهيزات الحديثة التي ضُبطت بحوزة الجناة، إذ تحفظت القوات على جهاز رقمي متطور مخصص لكشف المعادن والحرارة، إضافة إلى 3 آلات حفر كهربائية ثقيلة، وشاحنة وسيارتين استُخدمت لنقل المعدات وتسهيل تحركات الشبكة.
وعلى الفور، أمرت النيابة العامة بمحافظة منوبة بحبس جميع المتهمين وتحريز المضبوطات، مع إحالة القضية الشائكة إلى فرقة الحرس الوطني بمنطقة «طبربة» لتوسيع دائرة التحريات، وتتبع ما إذا كانت هذه المجموعة مرتبطة بشبكات دولية أوسع تتاجر بالتراث المغتصب.
وتأتي هذه الضربة في وقت تشهد فيه تونس تصاعداً نادراً في محاولات التنقيب العشوائي ونبش المواقع التاريخية، إذ كبّدت هذه الأنشطة الإجرامية معالم الدولة التونسية أضراراً فادحة نتيجة استخدام آلات حفر ثقيلة تُدمّر القطع الأثرية وتطمس قيمتها التاريخية قبل استخراجها.
والآن، يواجه الموقوفون تهمة ثقيلة تتصل بـ«تكوين عصابة بقصد الحفر والبحث عن الكنوز والآثار»، لتبقى التحقيقات مفتوحة على مفاجآت جديدة قد تكشف امتدادات خطيرة لهذه الشبكة.
In a swift raid that uncovered one of the most complex operations of those chasing "illusions of quick wealth," Tunisian security authorities dealt a significant blow to heritage theft networks, following the dismantling of an organized gang specialized in illegal excavation of artifacts and historical treasures within a rural area of the Manouba governorate.
The security operation resulted in the arrest of 6 individuals, including a woman, who were caught in the act of conducting deep secret digging and excavation inside one of the houses, leaving the locals in a state of shock upon discovering the advanced equipment and machinery in the possession of the group!
However, the shocking surprise was not only in the audacity of the plan but also in the scale of the modern equipment seized from the perpetrators, as the forces confiscated an advanced digital device designed for detecting metals and heat, in addition to 3 heavy electric drilling machines, a truck, and two cars used to transport the equipment and facilitate the movements of the network.
Immediately, the public prosecutor in the Manouba governorate ordered the detention of all suspects and the seizure of the confiscated items, referring the complicated case to the National Guard unit in the "Tebourba" area to expand the investigation and track whether this group is linked to broader international networks that trade in looted heritage.
This blow comes at a time when Tunisia is witnessing a rare escalation in attempts at random excavation and the digging up of historical sites, as these criminal activities have caused severe damage to Tunisian state landmarks due to the use of heavy drilling machines that destroy artifacts and obliterate their historical value before they can be extracted.
Now, the detainees face serious charges related to "forming a gang for the purpose of excavating and searching for treasures and artifacts," with investigations remaining open for new surprises that may reveal dangerous extensions of this network.
