في الغنايم بمحافظة أسيوط المصرية، لم تكن الصدمة في اتصالات الابتزاز المرعبة التي تلقتها سيدة ثلاثينية تهددها بنشر فضائح وصور خاصة جداً على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، بل كانت في هوية العقل المدبر الذي يقف خلف الهاتف!
القصة بدأت بظاهرها العادي: بتوجه سيدة إلى الشرطة لتبلغ عن اختفاء هاتفها المحمول أثناء وجوده مع شقيقها. لكن سرعان ما تحول الهاتف المفقود إلى أداة لتهديد سمعتها وابتزازها مادياً من قبل أشخاص ادعوا العثور عليه.
لكن تحريات المباحث الجنائية قلبت الطاولة تماماً وفجرت مفاجأة هزت الرأي العام؛ لأن الشقيق (وهو عاطل ذو أسبقيات جنائية) لم يفقد الهاتف كما ادعى، بل انتهز غفلة أخته وسرقه بدم بارد!
ولم يتوقف الغدر عند هذا الحد، بل توجه الشقيق بالهاتف إلى عنصر جنائي خطر، وباعه له مقابل دراهم معدودة، وعقد معه صفقة شيطانية: «ابتز أختي بصورها.. والنص بالنص».
إلا أن خطة الشقيق وشريكه تهاوت سريعاً، إذ تتبعت الأجهزة الأمنية المصرية المكالمات ورصدت تحركات المتهمين، ليتم إلقاء القبض عليهما في كمين محكم.
وبمواجهتهما أمام النيابة العامة، انهار الأخ واعترف بالاتفاق الدنيء، لُتحرر ضدهما قضايا الابتزاز والسرقة، وتطوى صفحة واحدة من أبشع قضايا الغدر العائلي.
In the spoils of Assiut Governorate in Egypt, the shock was not in the terrifying extortion calls received by a thirty-something woman threatening to publish scandals and very private photos on social media, but rather in the identity of the mastermind behind the phone!
The story began with an ordinary appearance: a woman approached the police to report the disappearance of her mobile phone while it was with her brother. But soon, the lost phone turned into a tool to threaten her reputation and extort her financially by individuals who claimed to have found it.
However, the investigations by the criminal police turned the tables completely and revealed a surprise that shook public opinion; because the brother (who is unemployed with a criminal record) did not lose the phone as he claimed, but rather took advantage of his sister's negligence and stole it cold-bloodedly!
The betrayal did not stop there; the brother took the phone to a dangerous criminal element and sold it to him for a few dirhams, making a devilish deal: "Extort my sister with her pictures... and we split the profits."
However, the brother's and his partner's plan quickly collapsed, as the Egyptian security agencies tracked the calls and monitored the movements of the suspects, leading to their arrest in a well-planned ambush.
When confronted before the public prosecutor, the brother broke down and confessed to the vile agreement, resulting in charges of extortion and theft being filed against them, closing the chapter on one of the most heinous cases of familial betrayal.
