أعلنت شركة جوجل تطوير أداة «Android Switch»، ضمن نظام «أندرويد 17»، لتسهيل انتقال المستخدمين من هواتف آيفون إلى أجهزة أندرويد، عبر نقل البيانات لاسلكياً ومن دون الحاجة إلى تنزيل تطبيقات إضافية.
وتتيح الأداة الجديدة نقل مجموعة أوسع من البيانات، تشمل الصور ومقاطع الفيديو وجهات الاتصال والرسائل والملفات والتقويم وسجل المكالمات، إلى جانب كلمات المرور ومفاتيح المرور وبيانات شبكات «واي فاي» والمنبهات.
كما تدعم الميزة نقل حساب جوجل وملف الشريحة الإلكترونية «eSIM»، فضلاً عن تخطيط الشاشة الرئيسية والخلفية وإعدادات تسهيلات الاستخدام، مع إمكانية نقل سجل رسائل «iMessage» ومرفقاته.
ويبدأ المستخدم عملية النقل أثناء إعداد هاتف أندرويد الجديد، من خلال مسح رمز الاستجابة السريعة الظاهر على الشاشة، ثم اختيار البيانات المطلوب نقلها، مع استمرار دعم النقل السلكي.
وبدأت جوجل طرح التجربة على هواتف «Pixel 8» والإصدارات الأحدث العاملة بنظام أندرويد 17، إلى جانب هواتف سامسونج القابلة للطي الجديدة عبر خدمة «Smart Switch»، على أن يتوسع الدعم لاحقاً ليشمل أجهزة أخرى.
Google has announced the development of the "Android Switch" tool, as part of "Android 17", to facilitate the transition of users from iPhones to Android devices by wirelessly transferring data without the need to download additional applications.
The new tool allows for the transfer of a broader range of data, including photos, videos, contacts, messages, files, calendars, and call logs, as well as passwords, passkeys, Wi-Fi network data, and alarms.
The feature also supports the transfer of Google accounts and eSIM profiles, in addition to the layout of the home screen and wallpaper, and accessibility settings, with the ability to transfer iMessage history and its attachments.
Users can initiate the transfer process while setting up their new Android phone by scanning the QR code displayed on the screen, then selecting the data they wish to transfer, while wired transfer support continues.
Google has begun rolling out the experience on "Pixel 8" phones and newer models running Android 17, as well as on new Samsung foldable phones via the "Smart Switch" service, with plans to expand support to other devices later.
