أسفر حادثا سير مروعين في الجزائر أمس (السبت) عن مصرع 10 أشخاص وإصابة آخر بجروح خطيرة، في حصيلة جديدة تعكس استمرار نزيف حوادث الطرق في البلاد.
وأفادت المديرية العامة للحماية المدنية بأن الحادث الأول وقع في ولاية معسكر شمال غربي الجزائر، إثر تصادم عنيف بين سيارة سياحية وشاحنة عند مدخل «الطريق السيار شرق» باتجاه ولاية سيدي بلعباس، ما أدى إلى وفاة خمسة أشخاص في موقع الحادث، فيما أُصيب شخص آخر بجروح بليغة نُقل على إثرها إلى المستشفى، بينما جرى تحويل جثامين الضحايا إلى مصلحة حفظ الجثث.
وفي حادث مأساوي آخر، شهدته ولاية المغير جنوب شرقي البلاد، لقي خمسة أشخاص مصرعهم إثر اصطدام سيارة سياحية بشاحنة على «الطريق الوطني رقم 123»، في نطاق بلدية ودائرة جامعة.
وتدخلت فرق الحماية المدنية في الموقعين، وسط استمرار التحقيقات للوقوف على الملابسات والأسباب.
A horrific traffic accident in Algeria yesterday (Saturday) resulted in the death of 10 people and left another seriously injured, in a new toll that reflects the ongoing hemorrhage of road accidents in the country.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection reported that the first accident occurred in the state of Mascara, northwest of Algeria, due to a violent collision between a passenger car and a truck at the entrance of the "East Highway" heading towards the state of Sidi Bel Abbes, which led to the death of five people at the scene of the accident, while another person sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The bodies of the victims were transferred to the morgue.
In another tragic incident, which took place in the state of El Mghair in the southeast of the country, five people lost their lives after a passenger car collided with a truck on "National Road No. 123," within the municipality and district of Djamaa.
Civil protection teams intervened at both sites, while investigations continue to determine the circumstances and causes.
