في مشهد هوليوودي مرعب حبس أنفاس سكان أحد أحياء العاصمة البريطانية لندن، انحرفت حافلة نقل عام ضخمة عن مسارها لتقتحم بقوة الواجهة الأمامية لأحد المنازل السكنية في حي «نوتينغ هيل» الشهير، مخلّفة دماراً هائلاً وخسائر مادية فادحة، في واقعة انتهت بنتيجة وصفتها فرق الإنقاذ بأنها «معجزة حقيقية».
اللقطات الصادمة التي اجتاحت وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي أظهرت حجم الحادثة التي كادت أن تودي بحياة العشرات، لولا العناية الإلهية التي كتبت عمراً جديداً للجميع.
ووقعت الحادثة في شارع «سانت كوينتين أفينيو» غرب لندن، عندما صعدت الحافلة فجأة فوق الرصيف. واصطدمت المركبة الضخمة بعناصر الطريق، لتواصل اندفاعها الرهيب وتخترق الواجهة الأمامية لمبنى سكني مكون من عدة طوابق، ساحقة في طريقها سيارتين متوقفتين بالموقع.
وأظهرت الصور المتداولة مقدمة الحافلة وقد استقرت تماماً داخل الغرفة الأمامية للمنزل، وسط تناثر الحجارة والزجاج والأنقاض في الشارع، في مشهد استدعى استنفاراً عاجلاً لفرق الإطفاء والإسعاف.
رغم بشاعة المشهد وقوة الارتطام التي كانت كفيلة بإحداث مجزرة بشرية، إلا أن السلطات البريطانية أعلنت رسمياً «عدم تسجيل أي إصابة»:
- سلامة الركاب: نجا جميع ركاب الحافلة دون إصابات تذكر.
- أعجوبة داخل المنزل: سكان المبنى المتضرر كانوا في غرف أخرى ونجوا تماماً من الموت المحقق.
- خلو الرصيف: لم تتزامن الحادثة مع مرور أي من المشاة في هذا الشارع الحيوي، ولم يحتج أي شخص لتلقي العلاج في موقع الحادثة.
- وفور وقوع الحادثة، فرضت قوات الشرطة طوقاً أمنياً مشدداً حول المنطقة، وتم تحويل مسارات خطوط الحافلات وإغلاق الطرق المحيطة تماماً. وهرع مهندسون إنشائيون مختصون لفحص الهيكل البنائي للمنزل، للتأكد من مدى استقراره وخوفاً من احتمالية انهياره نتيجة الصدمة العنيفة.
وفيما لا تزال أسباب انحراف الحافلة المفاجئ مجهولة حتى الآن، فتحت السلطات وهيئة النقل في لندن (TfL) تحقيقاً موسعاً وعاجلاً لتحديد ملابسات الواقعة، وسط نداءات عاجلة من الشرطة لأي شخص يملك تسجيلات لكاميرات السيارات (Dashcams) أو صوراً للحادثة بالتقدم بها فوراً لفك لغز هذه الواقعة الغريبة.
In a terrifying Hollywood scene that took the breath away from residents of a neighborhood in the British capital London, a massive public transport bus veered off its course and crashed forcefully into the front of a residential house in the famous "Notting Hill" area, leaving behind tremendous destruction and significant material losses, in an incident that ended with a result described by rescue teams as a "true miracle".
The shocking footage that swept across social media showed the magnitude of the incident that nearly claimed the lives of dozens, were it not for divine intervention that granted everyone a new lease on life.
The incident occurred on "Saint Quentin Avenue" in West London when the bus suddenly mounted the sidewalk. The massive vehicle collided with road elements, continuing its terrifying momentum and penetrating the front of a multi-story residential building, crushing two parked cars in its path.
The circulated images showed the front of the bus completely settled inside the front room of the house, amidst scattered stones, glass, and debris in the street, in a scene that prompted an urgent mobilization of fire and ambulance teams.
Despite the gruesomeness of the scene and the force of the impact that could have caused a human massacre, British authorities officially announced "no injuries reported":
- Passenger safety: All bus passengers escaped without any significant injuries.
- Miracle inside the house: Residents of the affected building were in other rooms and completely escaped certain death.
- Clear sidewalk: The incident did not coincide with the passage of any pedestrians in this busy street, and no one required treatment at the scene of the accident.
- Immediately after the incident, police forces imposed a strict security cordon around the area, rerouted bus lines, and completely closed surrounding roads. Structural engineers rushed to examine the building's structure to ensure its stability and to assess the risk of collapse due to the violent impact.
While the reasons for the bus's sudden veering remain unknown at this time, authorities and Transport for London (TfL) have launched an extensive and urgent investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident, amidst urgent calls from the police for anyone with dashcam footage or photos of the accident to come forward immediately to help unravel the mystery of this strange occurrence.
