أعلنت مبادرة (عبق الثقافة) إطلاق جائزة الناقد الدكتور سعيد السريحي للدراسات الأدبية والنقدية بدءاً من العام القادم. وأوضح صاحب المبادرة عبدالله السيد أن الفكرة بدأت من إيمان الشركات بالمسؤولية الاجتماعية، والتزامها بتقديم قيمة مضافة للمجتمع، مؤكداً أن السؤال لم يعد: كم حصدت الشركة من أرباح وحسب؟ وإنما: ماذا قدمت الشركة لمجتمعها وبيئتها؟ لافتاً إلى أنه تم تأسيس لجنتين لتولي مهام الجائزة؛ إحداهما «استشارية» تشرف على الإستراتيجيات ومراجعة المبادرات، ومحتواها وتأسيس الحوكمة ومصفوفة الصلاحيات، وأخرى «تنفيذية» تقوم بالعمل على تحقيق المبادرة على أرض الواقع وتنفيذها بما يتماشى مع توجهات المجموعة. وعدّ مبادرة (عبق الثقافة) الانعكاس التطبيقي لتصور الشركة للمسؤولية الاجتماعية في الفضاء الثقافي والفني، مضيفاً أن مكانة ودور الرمز الثقافي سعيد السريحي عززت أفكاراً عدة تبنتها (عبق الثقافة) بالتعاون مع اللجنة الاستشارية، للحضور في سوق النشر والتسويق المعرفي، ونشر أعمال ثقافية وفنية تهدف إلى دعم عملية النشر، وتشجيع المؤلفين في مجالات الكتابة والتصوير والموسيقى، وما يحويه مفهوم الثقافة الواسع، وما ينتجه المجتمع من أدب مادي وغير مادي، والتركيز على الفنون والقضايا الثقافية والمعرفية، والفنون البصرية والأدائية والطبخ والأزياء والتراث بما يخدم ثقافة الوطن، ويبث رسائل المسؤولية والتسامح والجمال.
فيما كشف أمين عام الجائزة الدكتور عادل خميس أهمية المشاركة والتعاون بين الجهات؛ كون العمل الثقافي يقوم على التعاون بين الجهات المختلفة لخدمة المجتمع ثقافياً، مؤكداً على دور القطاع غير الربحي في التنمية الوطنية، بما يحقق أهدافه في رفع الوعي والتقريب بين المؤسسات العامة والخاصة، ومشاركة الداعمين في تمويل مشاريع الثقافة بوصفها مساحةً جديدة للعمل الخيري ضمن المسؤولية الاجتماعية، وأوضح خميس أن العمل قائم حالياً على الحيثيات التأسيسية والقانونية للجائزة، ومسائل التنظيم الإدارية والتصاريح الرسمية، وتشكيل أمانة الجائزة التي يفترض أن تكون من مسؤولياتها تحديد المواعيد، ووضع المعايير والشروط، واختيار لجان التحكيم وباقي التفاصيل. ولفت إلى أن الهدف الأول للجائزة تحقق بإعلانها وتثبيتها، والحصول على موافقة الداعم، مشيراً إلى أن الإيمان بالفكرة والتصدي لتنفيذها سيذللان الصعاب والتحديات كافة. وعدّ الجائزة اعترافاً بقيمة السريحي الفكرية، وامتداداً للعطاء الذي قدمه، وتمثلاً لقيمه المعرفية التي تؤمن أن الحوار والتحليل والكتابة هي أفضل الطرق للاحتفاء بالفكر والمفكرين.
The "Cultural Essence" initiative announced the launch of the Dr. Saeed Al-Sarihi Critic Award for literary and critical studies starting next year. The founder of the initiative, Abdullah Al-Sayed, explained that the idea stemmed from companies' belief in social responsibility and their commitment to providing added value to society, emphasizing that the question is no longer: How much profit did the company earn? But rather: What has the company contributed to its community and environment? He pointed out that two committees have been established to take on the responsibilities of the award; one is "advisory," overseeing strategies, reviewing initiatives, their content, establishing governance, and a matrix of powers, while the other is "executive," working to realize the initiative on the ground and implement it in line with the group's directions. He considered the "Cultural Essence" initiative as the practical reflection of the company's vision of social responsibility in the cultural and artistic space, adding that the status and role of the cultural symbol Saeed Al-Sarihi have reinforced several ideas adopted by "Cultural Essence" in collaboration with the advisory committee, to be present in the publishing and knowledge marketing market, and to publish cultural and artistic works aimed at supporting the publishing process, encouraging authors in the fields of writing, photography, and music, and what the broad concept of culture encompasses, as well as what the community produces in material and immaterial literature, focusing on arts, cultural and knowledge issues, visual and performing arts, cooking, fashion, and heritage in a way that serves the culture of the homeland, and conveys messages of responsibility, tolerance, and beauty.
Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the award, Dr. Adel Khamis, revealed the importance of participation and cooperation among entities; as cultural work relies on collaboration among different parties to serve the community culturally, emphasizing the role of the non-profit sector in national development, achieving its goals of raising awareness and bridging the gap between public and private institutions, and involving supporters in financing cultural projects as a new space for charitable work within social responsibility. Khamis clarified that work is currently underway on the foundational and legal aspects of the award, administrative organization issues, official permits, and forming the award's secretariat, which is supposed to be responsible for setting dates, establishing criteria and conditions, selecting judging committees, and other details. He noted that the primary goal of the award has been achieved with its announcement and establishment, and obtaining the supporter’s approval, pointing out that belief in the idea and tackling its implementation will overcome all difficulties and challenges. He considered the award as recognition of Al-Sarihi's intellectual value, an extension of the contributions he has made, and a reflection of his knowledge values that believe that dialogue, analysis, and writing are the best ways to celebrate thought and thinkers.
