أصيب ما لا يقل عن 10 أشخاص جراء حادثة إطلاق نار وقعت خلال حفل أقيم على ضفاف بحيرة في ولاية أوكلاهوما الأمريكية، وفقاً لما أعلنته السلطات المحلية.
وذكرت المتحدثة باسم الشرطة إميلي وارد أن الحادثة وقعت مساء الأحد، نحو الساعة التاسعة بالتوقيت المحلي، بالقرب من بحيرة أركاديا الواقعة في الجزء الشرقي من مدينة إدموند، على بعد نحو 13 ميلاً شمال أوكلاهوما سيتي، وذلك خلال تجمع شبابي.
وأوضحت وارد أن 10 مصابين نُقلوا إلى المستشفيات وهم في حالات متفاوتة، بينما توجه آخرون لتلقي العلاج بأنفسهم.
وحتى الآن، لم تُجرِ الشرطة أي اعتقالات، لكنها أكدت في الوقت ذاته عدم وجود تهديد مستمر على السلامة العامة.
وأضافت: «إنه وضع مروع للغاية، وندرك حجم القلق لدى السكان والمشاركين، ونعمل بكل جهد ممكن لتحديد هوية المشتبه بهم».
وأشارت شرطة إدموند، عبر منصة «إكس»، إلى أن العدد الإجمالي للضحايا قد يتغير مع استمرار التحقيقات.
من جانبها، أفادت مصادر طبية أن 9 مصابين يتلقون العلاج في مركز إنتغريس هيلث بابتيست الطبي في أوكلاهوما سيتي، بينما تم نقل 3 آخرين إلى مستشفى إنتغريس هيلث إدموند، ولا تزال حالتهم قيد التقييم حتى وقت متأخر من مساء الأحد.
وتُعد بحيرة أركاديا خزّاناً مائياً اصطناعياً، وتُعرف بكونها وجهة شهيرة للأنشطة الترفيهية مثل صيد الأسماك والتنزه والتخييم.
ولم تكشف الشرطة تفاصيل إضافية عن طبيعة الحفل، غير أن وسائل إعلام أمريكية أفادت بأن منشوراً متداولاً على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي كان يروج لفعالية تحمل اسم «Sunday Funday»، والمقرر إقامتها في الموقع ذاته مساء الأحد.
وفي إطار التعامل مع الحادثة، أنشأت الشرطة مركزاً لتجميع شمل العائلات في أحد متاجر وولمارت القريبة، وفقاً لما نقلته وسائل إعلام محلية.
At least 10 people were injured in a shooting incident that occurred during a party held on the shores of a lake in the state of Oklahoma, USA, according to local authorities.
Police spokesperson Emily Ward stated that the incident took place on Sunday evening, around 9 PM local time, near Arcadia Lake located in the eastern part of the city of Edmond, about 13 miles north of Oklahoma City, during a youth gathering.
Ward explained that 10 injured individuals were transported to hospitals in varying conditions, while others sought treatment on their own.
So far, the police have made no arrests, but they confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
She added, "It is an extremely horrific situation, and we understand the level of concern among residents and participants, and we are working diligently to identify the suspects."
Edmond Police noted via the platform "X" that the total number of victims may change as investigations continue.
For their part, medical sources reported that 9 injured individuals are receiving treatment at the Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while 3 others were transported to Integris Health Edmond, and their conditions are still being evaluated as of late Sunday evening.
Arcadia Lake is an artificial reservoir and is known as a popular destination for recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, and camping.
The police did not disclose additional details about the nature of the party, but American media reported that a post circulating on social media was promoting an event called "Sunday Funday," scheduled to take place at the same location on Sunday evening.
In response to the incident, the police established a family reunification center at a nearby Walmart store, according to local media reports.
