ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته المبدئية 6 درجات قبالة ساحل محافظة إيواته في شمال شرقي اليابان، ولم ترد أنباء على الفور عن سقوط ضحايا أو أضرار مادية.
وذكرت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية اليوم أن الزلزال وقع على عمق 10 كيلومترات، وبلغت شدته 3 درجات على مقياس الزلازل الياباني المؤلف من 7 درجات في بعض المناطق في محافظات أوموري وإيواته ومياغي وياماغاتا.
وحُدد مركز الزلزال قبالة ساحل سانريكو عند التقاء دائرة عرض 39.4 درجة شمالًا وخط طول 143.2 درجة شرقًا.
ولم يتم إصدار أي تحذير من تسونامي، وفقًا لوكالة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية.

The Japan Meteorological Agency reported today that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, with a magnitude of 3 on the Japanese seismic scale, which consists of 7 degrees, in some areas of Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, and Yamagata prefectures.
The epicenter of the earthquake was determined to be off the Sanriku coast at the intersection of 39.4 degrees north latitude and 143.2 degrees east longitude.
No tsunami warning was issued, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
