أعلن مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي الأمريكي (FBI) أن زوبيدول أمين، مواطن بنغلاديشي يبلغ من العمر 28 عامًا، قد أُعيد إلى الولايات المتحدة من ماليزيا ليواجه اتهامات فيدرالية خطيرة تتعلق بإدارة شبكة دولية للاستغلال الجنسي للأطفال عبر الإنترنت.
ووفق بيان صادر عن مكتب المدعي العام الأمريكي لمنطقة ألاسكا، نقل أمين جوًا إلى أنكوريج مساء الأربعاء، بواسطة عملاء فيدراليين، بعد تعاون وثيق مع السلطات الماليزية ومكتب مأمور التنفيذ في كوالالمبور، حيث من المقرر أن يمثل أمين أمام المحكمة الفيدرالية في أنكوريج لإجراء جلسة المثول الأولية.
وفي يوليو 2022، وجهت هيئة محلفين فيدرالية في ألاسكا لائحة اتهام مكونة من 13 تهمة ضد زوبيدول أمين، بتشغيل مشروع استغلال جنسي دولي للأطفال، وشملت الاتهامات التآمر لإنتاج وتلقي وتوزيع مواد إباحية للأطفال، الاستغلال الجنسي للأطفال، الملاحقة الإلكترونية، وسرقة الهوية المشددة، والاحتيال عبر الإنترنت.
ووفقًا للوثائق القضائية، استخدم أمين منصات التواصل الاجتماعي مثل إنستغرام وسناب شات لابتزاز وإكراه مئات القاصرين في الولايات المتحدة وخارجها على إنتاج صور وفيديوهات جنسية صريحة و«سادية»، في واحدة من أكبر وأكثر الجرائم الرقمية شراسة التي حققت فيها FBI حتى ذلك الحين.
وتم اعتقاله أول مرة في سبتمبر 2022 في كوالالمبور بماليزيا من قبل الشرطة الماليزية، بالتنسيق مع FBI، ووجهت له تهم محلية متعلقة بحيازة وإنتاج مواد إباحية للأطفال، وبعد إجراءات قضائية في ماليزيا حيث كان يدرس الطب هناك، تم تسليمه إلى الولايات المتحدة، ونُقل جوًا إلى أنكوريج في ألاسكا.
وقال مدير مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي كاش باتيل في منشور على منصة «إكس» أنه بالتعاون «مع شركائنا العظماء، ألقى FBI القبض على زوبيدول أمين... الذي كان مطلوبًا منذ 2022 بتهم تشمل إدارة شبكة دولية للاستغلال الجنسي للأطفال».
ووجه مدير مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي شكرًا خاصًا للسلطات الماليزية والشركاء المحليين والدوليين الذين ساهموا في التحقيق والقبض والتسليم.
وأكدت السلطات الأمريكية أن التحقيق استمر لسنوات، وشمل تحديد ضحايا محتملين في الولايات المتحدة وخارجها، مع التركيز على حماية الأطفال من الاستغلال الرقمي، وأنه سيتم الكشف عن تفاصيل إضافية لاحقًا مع تقدم القضية.
The American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that Zubaydul Amin, a 28-year-old Bangladeshi citizen, has been returned to the United States from Malaysia to face serious federal charges related to operating an international child sexual exploitation network online.
According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Alaska, Amin was flown to Anchorage on Wednesday evening by federal agents, following close cooperation with Malaysian authorities and the enforcement office in Kuala Lumpur, where Amin is scheduled to appear in federal court in Anchorage for an initial appearance.
In July 2022, a federal grand jury in Alaska indicted Zubaydul Amin on 13 counts for operating an international child sexual exploitation enterprise, including charges of conspiracy to produce, receive, and distribute child pornography, child sexual exploitation, online enticement, aggravated identity theft, and online fraud.
According to court documents, Amin used social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat to extort and coerce hundreds of minors in the United States and abroad into producing explicit and "sadistic" sexual images and videos, in one of the largest and most aggressive digital crimes that the FBI had investigated up to that point.
He was first arrested in September 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, by Malaysian police in coordination with the FBI, and faced local charges related to the possession and production of child pornography. After legal proceedings in Malaysia, where he was studying medicine, he was extradited to the United States and flown to Anchorage, Alaska.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated in a post on the platform "X" that in collaboration "with our great partners, the FBI arrested Zubaydul Amin... who had been wanted since 2022 on charges including operating an international child sexual exploitation network."
The FBI Director expressed special thanks to the Malaysian authorities and local and international partners who contributed to the investigation, arrest, and extradition.
U.S. authorities confirmed that the investigation had lasted for years, involving the identification of potential victims in the United States and abroad, with a focus on protecting children from digital exploitation, and that additional details would be revealed later as the case progresses.
