أعلنت وكالة سبأ، الثلاثاء، مصرع ما لا يقل عن 11 يمنياً وإصابة آخرين، إثر حادثة مروعة على أحد الطرق في مديرية المحفد بمحافظة أبين.
الحادثة خلّفت صدمة واسعة في الأوساط المحلية، وسط مطالب بتشديد إجراءات السلامة على الطرق الحيوية.
تصادم عنيف
وذكرت صحيفة «عدن الغد» أن المأساة نتجت عن تصادم قوي بين قاطرة نقل ثقيل وحافلة ركاب في منطقة الحراج، قرب قرية الحبج بمديرية المحفد.
وأدى الاصطدام إلى اشتعال الحافلة بالكامل، ما تسبب في احتراق جميع من كانوا على متنها، في مشهد مأساوي صعب على الأهالي وفرق الإنقاذ.
تحرك رئاسي عاجل
في أعقاب الحادثة، وجّه رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، رشاد العليمي، بصرف مساعدات مالية عاجلة لأسر الضحايا والمصابين، في محاولة للتخفيف من آثار الكارثة الإنسانية.
The Saba Agency announced on Tuesday the death of at least 11 Yemenis and the injury of others, following a horrific incident on one of the roads in the Al-Mahfad district of Abyan governorate.
The incident has left a wide shock in local circles, amidst calls to tighten safety measures on vital roads.
Severe Collision
The newspaper "Aden Al-Ghad" reported that the tragedy resulted from a strong collision between a heavy transport truck and a passenger bus in the Al-Hiraj area, near the village of Al-Habbaj in the Al-Mahfad district.
The collision caused the bus to catch fire completely, resulting in the burning of everyone on board, in a tragic scene that was difficult for the locals and rescue teams.
Urgent Presidential Action
Following the incident, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, directed the disbursement of urgent financial assistance to the families of the victims and the injured, in an attempt to alleviate the effects of this humanitarian disaster.
