However, this dreamy scene has turned into a source of annoyance, as pigeon droppings have caused damage to buildings and infrastructure, leading to increasing complaints.
Monitored Experiment
The pilot program is being implemented in collaboration with researchers and animal welfare organizations, and officials assert that it will also help reduce the number of sick and hungry birds, while ensuring safety for humans, having been previously applied in cities like Brussels.
Cities Adapting
Other Polish cities have chosen innovative solutions to coexist with wildlife; in Gdynia, plants that repel wild boars are being planted, while in Zakopane, bear-resistant trash bins have been installed and special patrols are being conducted.
