وفق ما أفاد رجال الإطفاء عبر حسابهم على منصة إكس، وقع الحادث بعد انفجار الإطار الخلفي الأيسر للحافلة، ما أدى إلى فقدان السائق السيطرة وانقلاب المركبة على الطريق السريع. حتى الآن، لم يُكشف عن الحالة الصحية للمصابين بدقة، فيما تم نقلهم جميعًا إلى مستشفيات المنطقة لتلقي العلاج.

وأوضحت الشرطة الاتحادية للطرق السريعة أن الحافلة كانت تقل عمال مزارع من ولاية مارانيو في الشمال الشرقي، متجهين إلى ولاية سانتا كاتارينا جنوبًا لجمع التفاح، لتتحول رحلة العمل إلى مأساة على الطريق.

According to firefighters via their account on the X platform, the accident occurred after the left rear tire of the bus exploded, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle to overturn on the highway. So far, the health status of the injured has not been accurately disclosed, while all of them have been transported to hospitals in the area for treatment.

The federal highway police clarified that the bus was carrying farm workers from the northeastern state of Maranhão, heading to the southern state of Santa Catarina to pick apples, turning a work trip into a tragedy on the road.
