أوقفت السلطات الأمريكية ثلاثة أشخاص على صلة بقضية اختفاء نانسي غوثري، عقب مداهمة نفذها فريق المهمات الخاصة (SWAT) لمنزل يقع على بُعد نحو ميلين من ممتلكاتها في مدينة Tucson بمقاطعة Pima County.
وذكر مصدر أمني لشبكة Fox News أن قوات إنفاذ القانون استندت إلى معلومات سرية لتنفيذ مذكرة تفتيش، إذ جرى احتجاز رجلين ووالدة أحدهما. ولم تؤكد الجهات المختصة حتى الآن ما إذا كان أي منهم يُصنَّف رسمياً مشتبهاً به.
وفي وقت متأخر من مساء الجمعة (بالتوقيت المحلي)، أعلنت الشرطة عبر منصة X أنها ستصدر بياناً قريباً، دون كشف تفاصيل إضافية بشأن مضمونه.
وتزامن تنفيذ المداهمة مع سحب سيارة دفع رباعي فضية من موقف سيارات خارج أحد مطاعم توسان، في خطوة اعتُبرت جزءاً من التحركات الميدانية المتسارعة في القضية، وفق ما أوردته "فوكس نيوز".
وجاءت هذه التطورات بعد ساعات من إعلان المحققين استعادة عينة حمض نووي (DNA) من منزل غوثري تعود لشخص غير معروف، يُعتقد أنه كان على اتصال وثيق بها. وقد أُحيلت العينة إلى المختبر لإجراء التحليلات اللازمة.
وبحسب المعلومات المتاحة، شوهدت غوثري للمرة الأخيرة في 31 يناير داخل منزلها في توسان، فيما تشير المعطيات إلى أنها أُجبرت على مغادرته فجر اليوم التالي، تاركة خلفها آثار دماء. ومنذ ذلك الحين، ظهرت رسائل فدية من جهات تزعم مسؤوليتها عن اختطافها، دون أن تحدد السلطات هوية أي مشتبه به مع دخول عمليات البحث يومها الرابع عشر.
وفي سياق موازٍ، أصدر Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) وصفاً لمسلح التقطته كاميرات المراقبة الخاصة بغوثري وهو يتربص أمام باب منزلها. ووفق البيان، تراوح طول الشخص المشتبه به بين 5 أقدام و9 بوصات و5 أقدام و10 بوصات، ويتميز ببنية جسدية متوسطة.
كما أعلن المكتب الفيدرالي مضاعفة قيمة المكافأة لتصل إلى 100 ألف دولار مقابل أي معلومات تقود إلى العثور على غوثري أو تحديد هوية خاطفها، في مؤشر على تصعيد أمني واسع النطاق في واحدة من أكثر القضايا إثارة للجدل حالياً.
The U.S. authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, following a raid conducted by a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team at a house located about two miles from her property in Tucson, Pima County.
A security source told Fox News that law enforcement relied on confidential information to execute a search warrant, resulting in the detention of two men and the mother of one of them. The authorities have not yet confirmed whether any of them are officially classified as suspects.
Late Friday evening (local time), the police announced via platform X that they would issue a statement soon, without revealing additional details regarding its content.
The execution of the raid coincided with the removal of a silver SUV from a parking lot outside one of Tucson's restaurants, a step considered part of the rapid field operations in the case, according to Fox News.
These developments came hours after investigators announced the recovery of a DNA sample from Guthrie's home belonging to an unknown individual, believed to have been in close contact with her. The sample has been sent to the lab for necessary analyses.
According to available information, Guthrie was last seen on January 31 inside her home in Tucson, while data suggests she was forced to leave early the next day, leaving behind traces of blood. Since then, ransom messages have emerged from parties claiming responsibility for her kidnapping, without authorities identifying any suspects as the search operations enter their fourteenth day.
In a parallel context, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a description of an armed individual captured by Guthrie's surveillance cameras lurking outside her front door. According to the statement, the suspect's height ranged from 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches, with an average build.
The federal office also announced that it has doubled the reward to $100,000 for any information leading to the discovery of Guthrie or the identification of her kidnapper, indicating a wide-ranging security escalation in one of the most controversial cases currently.
