قُتل مدني وأصيب شخصان بينهما طفل، اليوم (السبت) إثر حريق مروّع اندلع داخل منزل سكني في حي سيف الدولة بمدينة الرقة السورية. وقالت وسائل إعلام سورية رسمية إن الحريق بدأ نتيجة احتراق برميل «مازوت» داخل المنزل، قبل أن تتفاقم الكارثة بانفجار قنبلة يدوية كانت موجودة في المكان، ما أدى إلى سقوط ضحية ووقوع إصابات متفاوتة الخطورة.
وأكدت التقارير أن فرق الدفاع المدني هرعت إلى الموقع فور تلقي البلاغ، وعملت على إخماد الحريق وتأمين المكان، وسط انتشار أمني وتحذيرات للسكان من الاقتراب من موقع الحادثة.
وتداول نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي صورًا صادمة من موقع الحريق، أظهرت حجم الدمار داخل المنزل وجهود فرق الدفاع المدني في التعامل مع آثار الانفجار.
ولا تزال الجهات المختصة تحقق في ملابسات وجود القنبلة داخل المنزل، في وقت تتكرر فيه حوادث مماثلة ناجمة عن مخلفات الحرب السورية.
A civilian was killed and two others, including a child, were injured today (Saturday) due to a horrific fire that broke out inside a residential house in the Sayf al-Dawlah neighborhood of the Syrian city of Raqqa. Syrian state media reported that the fire started as a result of a "diesel" barrel igniting inside the house, before the disaster escalated with the explosion of a hand grenade that was present at the scene, leading to one fatality and injuries of varying severity.
Reports confirmed that civil defense teams rushed to the site immediately after receiving the alert, working to extinguish the fire and secure the area, amidst a security presence and warnings to residents to stay away from the incident site.
Activists shared shocking images on social media from the fire site, showing the extent of the destruction inside the house and the efforts of civil defense teams in dealing with the aftermath of the explosion.
The relevant authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the presence of the grenade inside the house, as similar incidents caused by remnants of the Syrian war continue to occur.
