أسدلت الدائرة الجنائية المختصة بالنظر في قضايا الإرهاب بالمحكمة الابتدائية في تونس الستار على واحدة من أخطر القضايا المرتبطة بفرار سجناء إرهابيين، بعد إصدارها أحكامًا بالسجن 60 عامًا بحق الإرهابي أحمد المالكي الملقب بـ«الصومالي»، إلى جانب 4 إرهابيين آخرين، على خلفية تورطهم في عملية سطو مسلح استهدفت فرعًا بنكيًا في منطقة بومهل التابعة لولاية أريانة.
وأظهرت التحقيقات أن المجرمين الخمسة فرّوا عقب تنفيذ عملية السطو على متن سيارة، قبل أن يعمدوا إلى تركها في منطقة نائية ومعزولة، في محاولة لإخفاء آثار الجريمة، إلا أن الأجهزة الأمنية تمكنت لاحقًا من تعقبهم وإيقافهم.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام محلية عن مصدر قضائي مطلع أن المحكمة ثبت لديها تورط المجموعة الإرهابية في تنفيذ عملية السطو باستخدام أسلحة بيضاء، مستغلين فترة هروبهم من السجن المدني بالمرناقية، حيث اقتحموا الفرع البنكي وهددوا الموظفين، قبل الاستيلاء على مبلغ مالي قدره 20 ألف دينار تونسي والفرار من المكان.
وتأتي هذه الأحكام الجديدة لتضاف إلى عقوبات سابقة صدرت بحق المتهمين أنفسهم، بعدما كانت الدائرة الجنائية قد قضت بسجنهم 38 عامًا في قضية منفصلة تتعلق بفرارهم من السجن المدني بالمرناقية.
The specialized criminal court dealing with terrorism cases at the primary court in Tunisia has drawn the curtain on one of the most dangerous cases related to the escape of terrorist prisoners, after issuing sentences of 60 years in prison against the terrorist Ahmed Maliki, nicknamed "the Somali," along with 4 other terrorists, due to their involvement in an armed robbery targeting a bank branch in the Boumhal area of the Ariana governorate.
Investigations revealed that the five criminals escaped after carrying out the robbery in a car, before abandoning it in a remote and isolated area, in an attempt to hide the traces of the crime. However, security forces later managed to track them down and arrest them.
Local media reported from a judicial source familiar with the case that the court established the involvement of the terrorist group in executing the robbery using white weapons, taking advantage of their escape from the civil prison in Mornaguia, where they stormed the bank branch and threatened the employees, before seizing an amount of 20,000 Tunisian dinars and fleeing the scene.
These new sentences come in addition to previous penalties issued against the same defendants, after the criminal court had sentenced them to 38 years in a separate case related to their escape from the civil prison in Mornaguia.
