في أحد مساجد إسطنبول، تحولت جنازة إلى مسرح جريمة مأساوية، بعد أن دخل الشقيقان مصطفى (69 عاماً) ومحمد (52 عاماً) في خلاف محتدم على الميراث أثناء تشييع جثمان والدتهما، انتهى بإطلاق الرصاص على الأصغر وقتله أمام أعين المشيعين.
وقعت الحادثة مباشرة بعد صلاة العصر في مسجد بمنطقة «كاغيت هانة» بالجانب الأوروبي من المدينة. وأظهرت اللقطات المنتشرة على مواقع التواصل ذهول الحضور وفزعهم من المشهد المفاجئ، إذ انهار محمد بعد إصابته برصاصة في الرأس قبل نقله إلى المستشفى، حيث فارق الحياة.
وتمكنت الشرطة التركية بسرعة من القبض على القاتل، الذي اعترف بأن نزاعاً مبكراً على الميراث كان وراء الجريمة، وهو ما يضاف إلى سجله الجنائي الذي يتضمن أربع مخالفات سابقة.
وأشعلت الجريمة جدلاً واسعاً على منصات التواصل، وعبر ناشطون عن صدمتهم من أن خلافاً مالياً عائلياً يتحول إلى جريمة قتل وسط مراسم جنائزية، مؤكدين أن الحادثة تطرح أسئلة عن العنف الأسري وحدود السيطرة على النزاعات العائلية.
At a mosque in Istanbul, a funeral turned into a tragic crime scene after brothers Mustafa (69 years old) and Mohammed (52 years old) got into a heated dispute over inheritance during the burial of their mother, which ended with the younger brother being shot and killed in front of the mourners.
The incident occurred immediately after the afternoon prayer at a mosque in the "Kağıthane" area on the European side of the city. Footage circulating on social media showed the shock and horror of those present at the sudden scene, as Mohammed collapsed after being shot in the head before being taken to the hospital, where he passed away.
The Turkish police quickly managed to arrest the killer, who confessed that an early dispute over inheritance was behind the crime, adding to his criminal record which includes four previous offenses.
The crime ignited widespread debate on social media, with activists expressing their shock that a family financial dispute could escalate into a murder during funeral proceedings, emphasizing that the incident raises questions about domestic violence and the limits of controlling family disputes.
